Issues with Spa Draining when in Spa Mode

Hi. I am new at pool ownership and we are having a problem with spa draining when we turn on our hot tub. Our hot tub is not a free-standing unit and is a part of the pool. Our pool appears to have two main modes. Pool mode is when the pool is on and the pump is circulating water. When the...

    Deep Freeze, pump concerns

Thanks again for your help. Looks like it will be a while before a plumber can fix it. If I have it shut off, is there any problem with turning my pool on?

    Deep Freeze, pump concerns

Also, I sent these photos to my pool people too. They are saying a plumber has to fix it. Is that true?

    Deep Freeze, pump concerns

So things really started to thaw out today. So I tested the pool. The pump is not having any issues and the Polaris is running normal. But I did not notice water coming out of this pipe. So it looks like I may have a leak. I turned this valve to stop the flow. Is that the right thing to do? Do...

    Deep Freeze, pump concerns

Sorry for probably a silly question but wondering if doing this step would create damage to the pool. We are finally above freezing in Texas. And I finally have power again but the water is shut off at the city level. Is there harm if I turn on the pump to check on the pool and even warm up my...

    Deep Freeze, pump concerns

Thanks again for all of the help. I did cover all of the equipment. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to locate the screws to drain the pump. Nor could I locate where I should drain the filter. Here are a couple of photos but not sure if this where it should be drained.

    Deep Freeze, pump concerns

Ok thank you. I cut off the power at the breaker. But I am not sure where to drain everything as you mentioned. Here is my setup? Do I need to unscrew that clear lid shown. And what is the faucet that I see? Should I open it to allow it to drain?

    Deep Freeze, pump concerns

Thanks for your help, Marty. I am a novice when it comes to pool care. I put the unit into "service mode" at the panel. Is that enough? I will try and see if I can figure out how to take off the pump basket lids.

    Deep Freeze, pump concerns

I am in Austin and we have been dealing with this cold weather for days. I had been my running my pump continually to make sure water circulating. But then we lost power and we lost it for 24 hours. The power just came on but now my pipes are frozen and we have no water in the house. The power...
