    Goldline Aquarite Cycle time question

I think this is what is going on. My pool temp is hovering just below 60 (58,59). Then in the afternoon (we are having much warmer temps than normal) the temp climbs to 60, 61 (actually hit 64 today). That's what was throwing me a curve. It looked like it was working when I went to...

    Goldline Aquarite Cycle time question

Thanks, That's what I thought. Mine is shutting down at about the two hour mark, but the panel is indicating all is operating correctly (except current is 0 and no instantaneous salt reading). I have a Circupool T-15 (CIR-GEN15 ) Replacement cell that is just under one year old. As soon as I...

    Goldline Aquarite Cycle time question

I have an older Goldline Aquarite SWG which I know is now Hayward. It's running r1.4 firmware. I think I understand the cycle time on these is supposed to be 2 hours. What I'm not clear on (And I've done a lot of reading posts and info pages). If I have mine set to 100% and it runs for over...

Filter on top of Pentair DE filter needed?

I believe it's there to help vent any trapped air out the return line.

    SWG checkup frequency?

Mine has and indicator light also. But to make sure I don't miss it I put an event on my Google calendar to remind me every three months to pull it and hose it out. (I tend to build up some calcium with my CH levels.)

    CH Question

My TA is currently 70. I'll try to get it lowered a bit below 70. I'm about to go restock on MA.

    CH Question

My CH is currently 575. Pool Math suggests my upper target level is 550 and my max safe range is 650. I've seen it mentioned here that you don't have to worry about it until it hits 800. I found quite a bit of calcium build up in our SWG when I cleaned it recently. I was wondering if I even...

Help - Should I be able to see behind water tiles?

MIne goes into the skimmer also. That doesn't look finished to me. I would be worried about water getting behind the tile that's there and loosening it up over time.

Any ideas how to fix this?

All you can do is keep your pump running, vacuum the bottom (as needed) clean your filter as needed and keep your chlorine levels up. We had a mess when we had our trees removed. We followed the SLAM method, cleaned everything from the bottom we could and ran our filter continuously. We...

About that sock trick with CYA

I hang my skimmer sock in the skimmer where the flow over the weir gate hits it (put the top of the sock in the lid when you close it). It dissolves pretty fast.

Rings found under pump strainer basket?

They look to me like they are possibly the outer races for the bearings for the A-Frame in side your Aquabug. Look in this diagram at the A-Frame Kit. Not sure how it got through the pump strainer is that is what it is.

    Flow rate during slam.

I have some algae showing up in our pool, so I want to slam it to get rid of it again. I have a quick question. What flow rate do I have to run it during the slam? The water is clear, but I have some deposits showing up in some shady areas.

"SPR" Fault code - Heater not starting

We have just had a lot of trees removed from around our pool. They parked their chipper right next to the pool equipment. I'm betting the vibration from that thing running for several hours had a bit to do with it in retrospect.

"SPR" Fault code - Heater not starting

Thanks for your help! Found another cold solder joint on one of the SPR pins on the board. Re-soldered and all is good now.

"SPR" Fault code - Heater not starting

We have a Rheem 337A Low NOX Model pool heater. When it tries to start it shows a CFH (Call for heat) then shows a "SPR" (Spare Fault code indicator). I can't find what that means. I just wanted to check here before I order a replacement board. I had already fixed some cold solder joints in...

    Coping Damage from tree removal

We just had several Cypress trees removed from around our pool. They did a decent job, but during the process, they lost control of one of the big pieces they were going to lower via rope and dropped it on our pool side. It hit right at a grout joint and broke the corners off of two pieces. I...
