Mastertemp 400 heater corroded parts inside

Our Mastertemp 400 heater was recently serviced. It was purchased about three years ago and put into service about 2.5 years ago, in Central TX. The bypass was broken, blocking water flow. The bypass, o rings, gasket and a new regulator were replaced. The tech noted that he saw corrosion on...

Stabilizer Stockings / Nylons / Socks

I've been adding stabilizer using a nylon stocking occasionally for the past 18 months. I started to do this today and the stocking fell apart. Are there recommended stockings that last longer or are folks replacing them every year or so?

Intellicenter Firmware Update - Chemistry Disappeared on my Phone App

I recently updated my Intellicenter firmware from 1.040 to 1.047 and then to 1.064. It's been awhile since I looked at my phone app, so timing may be a coincidence. Before the update, long before the update, I had this under Chemistry: Now my phone looks like this: My panel shows this...

    Pressure gauge on filter leaking

Where the gauge screws into the top of the filter, there's a small leak. It looks like clear silicone was used to seal and it maybe just needs to be resealed, not sure. Does this sound right?

Added 400 lbs of salt a couple of days ago, haven't turned salt cell on...

New pool, ready to add salt cell

Startup was 30 days ago. Chemistry has been good using weekly shock and muriatic acid. I think we're ready to add salt and install the salt cell. The salt cell is currently wired to our Pentair IC40 SCG control panel. Is it just a matter of putting the system in maintenance mode and swapping...

Best coping for SWCG or Stenner

Moved from here.. Stenner Liquid Chlorine Chlorinator vs Salt Water Chlorine Generation This was discussed in another thread. I think it is appropriate here also. For a new pool build in Austin, TX area, we are thinking SWCG is a very good option. I read on another TFP thread that Lueder is...
