Thanks everyone. Opened it Monday night and found out the closers (last time I think I pay someone) didn't get all the water out of a section of pipe because had some major cracking. Fixed that and turned the pump on yesterday afternoon. I know you all like pics, so here is the transformation...

Just wanted to give a final posting to the conversion. Pool looks perfect. It is just crazy thinking we spent an entire season trying to use Baquacil to get this type of water and it literally took me less than 2 weeks w/ chlorine (including conversion). Thank you everyone for the help...

Thanks for the reply. I am still shocking and it was at 10 FC's a few hours ago, but we are having crazy storms here now (rain/lightning), so I am staying away from outside including the pool. :-D I will get back to full shock level tomorrow, but I expect the rain is going to make this fun...

Added 6 pounds CYA today. Saw the deep end drain for the first time in a while this morning.

Went to bed last night at 15 FC and woke up at 14. Was away all day and now it is at 6 (expected since it was crazy hot today). I will bring it back to 15 as soon as the sun lets up a bit. Guess I need to find some stabilizer and start the next steps. Pool is looking better already. Greenish yet...

I have back-flushed it a few times, but really nothing too crazy. I know our baqua levels were really low as they never took hold all year, so I am guessing that is the reason for not a lot of goo. Now yesterday I did sweep the walls and quite a bit of white mold or the starting of algae...

I didn't just realize this, but I guess I just started to wonder. The walmart brand is a yellowish tint. We bought them all out yesterday so I got some Clorox brand and it is clear. Any worries to the yellowish Walmart brand? Update: Was at 10 FC last night before bed so dumped in 1.5 jugs...
