intex pool cleaner doesn't stay on bottom

I’ll definitely check that out. I don’t know anything about pool sprinklers - another rabbit hole to explore! Lol

intex pool cleaner doesn't stay on bottom

Thank you. That's a bit pricier than I was expecting. We might try a "homemade" version.

intex pool cleaner doesn't stay on bottom

I did a search for this question/issue but couldn't find any information so here we go... We recently bought (used) the Intex pool pressure-side cleaner - Model 2800ie - which requires a filter pump with a flow rate between 1,600 - 3,500 gph. Our 1.5hp Hayward pump has a maximum flow rate of...

Are these bubbles "normal" or at least acceptable?

I just ordered the recommended lube

Thank you! We will investigate that possibility! perfect thanks!

Are these bubbles "normal" or at least acceptable?

Since this is a new pump, I don’t think it’s due to a dirty gasket. We will give the grease a try. Thank you!

I completely agree about the entrapment protection. We did add a skimmer that hangs over the side. Next time we have to drain the pool down some we may add an “in the wall“ skimmer. Thanks for the input.

Pipes, fittings, and planning help needed

Thank you! We are continuing to research our options. I didn’t know there was a forum specifically for above ground pools. I’ll check it out. Thank you, again.

Pipes, fittings, and planning help needed

after two awful filter/pump systems failed, it’s taken a few days to get our pool clean and clear again but I think we’ve got it back under control. We just wanted to give the pump a little more flow on the suction side. Bigger hose = less resistance = happier pump? We are still getting...

    Pump amperage

    Thank you. Ours is 110v.

    Pump amperage

According to the Bestway pool set up, there are two suction hoses and one discharge hose.

    Pump amperage

We don't have a skimmer hooked up at this point. We have an "over the side" skimmer that we will engage once the plumbing issue is resolved.

Pipes, fittings, and planning help needed

I need some engineering help please. I've spent hours researching this subject and, despite how interesting learning about hydraulics might be, I really need a faster solution. If anyone can help us cut to the chase and get this done right, I'd be very appreciative. Here's the current set...

    Pump amperage

My understanding is that any pressure between 10 and 20 is normal for this filter.
  24. tmking86

    Pump amperage

The filter pressure is a steady 10. No line obstructions. We detached the larger hose (going from the pump to the T) and put it directly into the pool to see if the smaller hoses were causing the problem but it made no difference. Rechecking the amps (before and after that experiment) showed...

    Pump amperage

We have a new Hayward W3CC15093S XStream Above-Ground Pool Filter Pump System, 1.5 HP, rated at 15amps, single speed. It is pulling 14 amps continuously. Is this "normal"? Also, the motor is hot to the touch but has not shut off. We live in the Tampa Bay area and it is 90 degrees outside but...

Question regarding enlarging inlet / outlet port size

Thank you. I must not be putting the right words in the search box! (I'm usually very good at research but this subject has me stumped).
