Got it crystal clear, scrubbed and vacuumed. It took me 16 days and 30 gallons bleach. After two weeks of fighting it I replaced my filter cartridge and then it cleared up in 2 days. I’ve been accused of being obsessed with the chemicals. Thank you for your support everybody! Deb

I finally got a chance to test the CYA and it was only 20. I didn’t have any stabilizer so last night I put in a few bags of Dichlor shock that I had around. I don’t usually use it but that brought the CYA up to 30.

Yes it was blue. I bought it at Great Escape which is where we bought the pool.

Also... still cloudy today but a tiny bit better. I hope the new filter does the trick so I can celebrate.

Maybe but I’ve been cleaning the filter twice a day. That plume of debri cleared up after awhile. I’ll try cleaning it more often and I guess get a new one if nothing else works. Thanks.

I did read it, twice. I learned I have to add dry acid little by little and aerate after to get the pH and TA down. I just wasn’t sure I should put some chlorine in there from the start or if I need to wait until the pH and TA are balanced. The article was very informative but wasn’t very clear...
