Pentair KK Legend Wall Adapter thread stuck in wall plumbing

Hi all, Want to follow up with an update in hopes that i can help someone else and save them money. The pool repair company came by and was able to remove it in under one minute, but it cost $170. I think it was worth the cost because I didn't want to damage the threads of the underground...

No i wasn't able to remove it yet.. Waiting on pool repair company to call me as i don't want to damage underground pipe and prefer they pull it out if i can't figure it out. I may have to use a small hacksaw to slowly cut in pieces 🤷🏽‍♂️ might be the route i go. It's broken inside the...

I tried to remove the wall connection adapter to inspect but it's so old and brittle it snapped off when i tried turning it, and part of the threaded portion...

PH keeps rising - liquid chlorine?

Hey all, back here to report an update that I was able to get my ta down to 80. I reduce my pH to 7.0. And with my submersible pump setup in the image above I was able to raise pH to about 0.2 each day. Once 7.6 i would add the acid. Took about 3.5 gallons of 14.5% muriatic acid to go from...

PH keeps rising - liquid chlorine?

I did use chlorine tabs from Leslie's pool that caused my cya to skyrocket to 150 over one year. So the water that's in the pool now is new water that was refilled. But when I was using those pucks I never even had to touch pH expect the first time i started taking over pool care Ohh nice. I...

PH keeps rising - liquid chlorine?

They do not point up and are completely submerged. Seems like consensus is TA. Let's see how well my aeration works over the next few days Ya tough to tell. I'll check chemistry tonight and continue running until ta gets down. Grabbing more muriatic acid tonight to control ph during this...

PH keeps rising - liquid chlorine?

Good thread, i should've search. Sorry. 😬 i hooked up my submersible pump to my garden hose. Then angled the hose in the water. Making lots of small bubbles which i understand is more ideal. How does this aeration look? To small? Seems decent for a last minute setup.

PH keeps rising - liquid chlorine?

Thanks for the responses. It is not a new pool, about 12-15yrs since plaster was redone. I'll work on aeration and reducing ph after aeration until TA is lower. I'll target 80 and see how ph behaves and reduce TA if still increasing quickly. Any suggestions for aerating? My return jets...

PH keeps rising - liquid chlorine?

Hi all, I'm noticing that I need to add muriatic acid every few days because my pH rises from about 7.4 to either 7.8 or 8.0. Searching online one of the reasons maybe because of the sodium hypochlorite (liquid chlorine) I'm using. To maintain cya/fc ratio I'm Adding about 5-8 cups daily of...

Water looks really good. Very clear. Weather is nice here. Quite warm lately without many clouds. I'll adjust fc to match cya/fc ratio chart. I used the 25ml fc test. I'll use 10ml moving forward. Per pool math calculator for 23k gallon pool i need to add 21.3lbs of calcium chloride. seems...

understood, will do that. How long should I keep the pump running at night? It typically runs for eight hours from 8 a.m. to 4 pm. Also are there any resources to learn how to use the test kit; taylor k-2006c? I looked on YouTube and found a video that seemed helpful but wanted to see if...

Assistance with amount of pool chemicals

alrighty, I'm back with an update. Yesterday I picked up the chlorine stabilizer. Dissolved 4 cups which should be equivalent to about 2 lb of stabilizer into my pool water. I initially added it at about 4:30 p.m.; it fully dissolved by about 6:30 p.m. at the same time I added another 11 cups...

I do have an old test results sheet. I'll have to dig it up. I added the 11 cups of chlorine 10% concentration. about 2 hours ago and my levels for free chlorine are still less than 1 PPM I think I may need to add more as it's been over an hour since I've had it. Do you recommend I add more?

Assistance with amount of pool chemicals

How can i determine that? Do i require another test kit? I'm wondering if the water that was sitting in my pump and filter over the past week just built a bunch of algae by being stagnant and sitting in heat. I think when I started my pump it likely pushed all that Crud into my pool. Maybe I...

I started my pool pump for the first time since refilling the pool this morning. I pour it in 11 cups of 10% chlorine. The water is now turning green. Assistance with amount of pool chemicals

Great tips. I'll reduce stabilizer to 4lb and add gradually. Maybe I'll start with 2lbs first. Is the sock in the skimmer basket and pump running 24hr the best way to add stabilizer? I've seen that you can dissolve it in warm water in a 5 gallon bucket and poured around the edges of the pool...

Thank you for your reply. I ordered the k-2006c. yes definitely. I just updated my signature. although I don't see it appearing here. I am viewing the mobile version of this website maybe that's why. I would say I drained close to, if not more, than 90% of the pool water. I'll hold off with...

Hi all, new here. gone through almost every pool service in my area and nearly impossible to find anyone who will maintain my pool properly and regularly. Went to Leslie's pool and they advised me as they do everyone to use their tabs and dichlor. Guess what? Cya is at 150. 🤦🏻 So here I am...
