I use a Pool Rover that I purchased from costco. It is a simple design but does an excellent job on cleaning the pool. Mine came with two bags. One is used for larger debris such as leaves and the other bag filters vacuums very fine particles. Very happy with my unit.

Looking at some pictures, it looks like even less than 50 feet. So truth is I don't really know how much 3/4" pipe is used but I do know that is what is coming out of the 3 returns.

I think it may be closer to 50 feet of 3/4" pipe instead of 70 feet if it makes any difference.

I just checked and at 45gpm without the solar on, my pump is running at 2860 at 1329 watts. The psi on my filter reads 18psi.

There is a dedicated line below the water line. The suction line has one of those spring shut doors on it so when the cleaner is removed, the door closes. I'm sure that it would be something that is easily fixed. Thanks for your advice. Ron
