Which liner? 2 options. Pleas help me choose

It's raining again. Time for another cold front to come through. Glad for the argument against global warming but I'm itching to mow the yard or go outside without seeing my breath!

Which liner? 2 options. Pleas help me choose

Payday is Friday...ordering eBay liner and solar cover. Now if only the weather would cooperate. Last year we were opening the pool by now, but because of the polar vortex I have ice outside! In Louisiana that's nuts!

Review of my Pool Rover Jr.-BIG thumbs up.

I too love this product. Put it in Saturday morning before the kids are ready to swim and another hour later it's done. My only problem is I need to replace the debris bag. They seem a little expensive. I've seen them for about $40. Has anyone found them cheaper?

Which liner? 2 options. Pleas help me choose

I had looked at a few sites but really like the site you mentioned. Not that expensive and will be much better than trying to pump hot water out of my home hot water heater into the pool!

Which liner? 2 options. Pleas help me choose

Thank you. Solar cover worth the money? Despite living in Louisiana, my pool spends most of the morning in the shade. Usually it's too cold to swim until 3 or 4 in the afternoon. I just need to raise it a few degrees so the kids are comfortable in it.

Which liner? 2 options. Pleas help me choose

I don't want to skimp on it. Just trying to not overspend. I also need a solar cover this year. Combine that with installation of liner and liner price and my pool budget is blown!

I need to replace my 18ft round overlap liner. Local pool store sells these for about 15-20% more than I can get online. I found one liner here > (25 mil boulder swirl...

Got a Smoker! Now what to cook!

Thanks! It was a fun game! We did some ribs and sausage. I think I had it a little too hot in the beginning but will get the hang of it soon. Problem is that my smoker doesnt have a temp gauge. Thinking of trying to retrofit one in the lid.

    Evaporation

Well with our humidity, I may actually gain water lol. But I usually turn the hose on once a week for about 15-20 mins and I'm back to normal. So probably 1/4" loss everyday. Not too bad at all really.

how do i hard plumb my agp intex 18' x 52"??

I basically clamped a carpenters square to the pipe. Drew a line down it with a sharpie. Then I used a clamp on the pipe and kind of stabilized it on my table. Then I just started drilling holes along the line. I just spaced them apart how I felt they should be. see this pic below, maybe it...

San Diego In Ground Pool Build w/ Pictures

That makes sense. I was just being nosey but I like your thought process. Why send the kids to other peoples homes when you can keep them at home and out of trouble! Looking really good.

    New build North Fort Worth!

Looks awesome. Curious to see if its normal how they did the hose bib attachment. Looks like a homemade sprinkler system I made here lol. But I'm sure it serves the purpose.

Do you run your pump non-stop?

I have a large pump for my size pool so I run mine from 7-7 each day. It also comes on from 2am-3am to circulate for a while. I bought a timer from Amazon and have been very pleased with it. Electric bill went down and my water is still clear.

how do i hard plumb my agp intex 18' x 52"??

The top pic was mine so i feel free to comment haha. If you have never worked with pvc before it may be a little more difficult but you can get it done. just buy a few extra pieces of pipe and connectors along with a good hacksaw. there wont be too many step by step threads on how to glue...

    skinny dipping?

What do ya'll think about skinny dipping with kids? My parents never would have had me around for that. I don't plan to for my kids either but I know a lot of people are more open about that kind of thing than I am.

San Diego In Ground Pool Build w/ Pictures

Out of curiosity, what made you wait til the end of summer to build. Better deal? I didn't buy my pool until July when they had a sale. I was just curious if the pool builders came down in price towards end of season. Ready to see how it turns out!

Hard Plumbing of AGP Done (w/ pics and parts list)

Re: Need help with AGP hard plumbing Glad to hear it helped some people. I like the advice from above about using a lot of threaded parts. Because once you glue in the valves like I did, you just locked $12 into your system and if you screw something up you have to buy another one :x Holes...

Hard Plumbing of AGP Done (w/ pics and parts list)

Re: Need help with AGP hard plumbing No they aren't threaded. What I meant by that statement was just to over buy a lot of parts in order to get creative with my plumbing. The only threaded parts I used were for the return jet, output of filter, and the ends of my fountain pipes.

Lube For Threaded PVC into Pump?

I have a tiny drip coming from the bottom of my skimmer basket to my hose. Would pipe dope help seal this better than teflon? Never thought about using it.
  26. BigT8600

Lube For Threaded PVC into Pump?

Teflon tape would be your best bet. Thats how my pool builder originally put mine together and when I hard plumbed mine i used tape. Works well to help seal but also let you take it apart again if needed.

Is my pool dirtier than yours?

Don't feel bad! I swear someone throws dirt in mine too! Mostly I think it is dust in the air/wind that gets caught in the water.

Hard Plumbing of AGP Done (w/ pics and parts list)

Re: Need help with AGP hard plumbing I think you use the same threaded piece on the skimmer side. Reason I didn't do it yet was because I just now got my skimmer to quit leaking around the threads. Thinking about what exactly I want to do with it, and may just wait until the Springtime to deal...
