    Ready for the 2022 season!

I’ve tried them. If you have a brand you can recommend, I’ll look into it again. Last time I tried one, it severely restricted the water flow and triggered the safety switch on my pump. That was after only about an hour after putting it in.

    Ready for the 2022 season!

We’re ready to go. Thanks to TFP, opened to another super low maintenance season. Cottonwood hasn’t dropped yet so I’ll be doing some extra filter cleaning and vacuuming for a while, but we’re ready to go. Ignore my grass. 😬

There’s still FC in my pool??

The cool water slows the growth of organic material like algae. I don’t think it changes the density enough to significantly affect the readings you get. I was just surprised I still had close to 8ppm. I closed the pool at the beginning of October with the water at 20ppm.

Ha! I should probably do that.

There’s still FC in my pool??

TA is high, 120. Not a 100% sure why. It was 100 when I closed it. Maybe the tap water I used to refill contributed to the raised level.

There’s still FC in my pool??

The plot thickens. My pH seems spot on too.

There’s still FC in my pool??

Hey everyone - when I closed my pool I raised the FC to about 20ppm after draining about 6”below the skimmer line. I just took the cover off yesterday and refilled to half way up the skimmer overnight. When I brought out the test kit, the water immediately turned pink when I dropped the dpd...

    Shrink Wrap AGP Cover?

I wrapped my cover. My son helped me do it. It took just a couple minutes.

    Our little oasis

Ignore my ugly grass. Between the trenching for the electrical, leveling of the pool, and having a tree cut down, it needs a little therapy. This is what we’re working with so far:

Help....Are hard sided pools supposed to wobble???

When you say wobble, you mean for an extended period of time or less than a second? I have two competitive swimmer children and they practice kick turns in our pool and when they push off, you feel it, but it is very, very brief, less than half a second. I would think an extended wobble would...

    First week of ownership

So...I did a thing: We’re supposed to get some serious storms tomorrow so I didn’t want to mess around with pulling it out. Next weekend, I plan to fully detach the system and sell it to someone who would prefer not to manage their chemistry manually.

    First week of ownership

I appreciate the advice. I am cleaning the cartridge filter this weekend so I will use that opportunity to remove the mineral and chlorine packs from the Frog and just let plain water run through it. I added 2 pounds of Borax this morning to help raise the pH a bit.

    First week of ownership

Here is where I am at currently. I have the Frog system and am really disliking it. Should I remove the packs or set the dial to 0 (or both) to bypass it for now? Any other thoughts on my current chemistry? For reference, I am using the Taylor K-2006C testing kit.

    New Above Ground Pool Owner

With the local threat of no public pools opening, my wife and I decided to purchase a 24’X54” pool. Everything is happening kind of fast. Electrician is coming on 6/18 to run the electrical and pool is being installed on 6/20. The same company installed my neighbor’s pool and they were very...
