    Remodel weep holes

I am in southern California. We have had a lot of rain this season for our region. We just started demo on an in ground pool remodel. Plaster, tile and new steps. The contractor drilled some holes in the deep end to release pressure. A lot of water came out. The part that concerns me is...

    Solar Cover Reel HELP!!

I've searched forums looking for an answer but couldn't find one. Will a reel work with this shape of pool? I'm guessing I would get one that fits the widest section which is 15ft? We had one cover and totally trashed it dragging it along the brick. I've been looking at reels and there are...

    Need ideas....

Can you please share your pictures of how you hid your equipment? I was thinking of making some sort of roll away cover but want it to look nice since we have to look at it while we are back there swimming. Its such a small tight space also. We do not want any sort of plants either. Thanks.

HELP!! Potato bug (Jerusalem cricket) and rollie pollies

These pests are all over my pool. Is something attracting them to the water and how do I stop them? Rollie pollies arent as bad as the nasty potato bugs. I can see 3 of them in my pump and I find them floating along the water in the morning. We have a full concrete deck. The closest dirt is...

    what would you do

I have no reason to doubt just not familiar with the product he used. He will be coming back out to put the putty all around the mouth opening of the skimmer to make me feel more comfortable. It has been 48hr and no water loss. Just wasnt sure how that putty epoxy stuff would hold up with all...

    what would you do

So I talked to our PB and he said that the 2 part epoxy they used is stronger than if they went back and regrouted it. Does that sound right? I'm fine with the epoxy (it doesnt look bad) but I'm just not how durable it is, or even how durable grout is.....

    what would you do

Is it just grout from the tile that acts as a barrier where the skimmer meets the wall? You could see the grout had cracked and they covered it with the putty. Seems like it just would need to be regrouted? We plan on talking more about this to him when he comes back tomorrow to evaluate the...

    what would you do

Well we just had our pool remodeled. New Plumbing, coping, tile, and plaster. Well day one we have a leak. It looks like it is where the skimmer meets the pool wall. They put some putty around it and we are testing the water line again. To me a fix like that does not seem right. We just paid all...

    dedicated suction clean line

Is there supposed to be a cap on this line? We just had one installed and I thought there was supposed to be one. We have our PB coming out tomorrow because we have a leak somewhere and will ask then, but I want to know now :?

    New Plaster.....losing water

We just had a total remodel. It was completly filled yesterday and we have been running the pump. The plumbing is all new and was pressure tested. We feel that we are losing more water than we should just from evaporation. I guess my question is Does new plaster absorb some water?

    Skimmer install.....does this look right??

So after our coping and tile was complete we looked at the skimmer and its not lined up straight to the opening. We told the PB and they are coming to look at it 1st thing on Monday. It just seems that since its not straight somehow water will get leaked.

    solar cover shape

so my pool is sort of oval and was thinking that buying an oval cover then cutting to shape is best. Or is buying rectangle better to cut to shape. At the longest points my pool is 30x15. What would you do?

    Do I need a main drain...inground?

We have a 15000 gal pool, dont know the dimensions but it is 74' perimeter and goes to 8ft deep. We are replastering and thinking of redoing the old copper plumbing. We were quoted on 3 return lines (we currently have 2) an autofill, a poolsweep line, skimmer, and split the main drain. We are...
