Nautilus CC vs E10 for AGP

I have a 21 ft hybrid (steel sided) above ground pool that I'm looking for a robot cleaner for. The E10 is $499 and specified as being an AGP robot. The Nautilus CC is $599 and specified as an in ground pool robot but will climb walls. There is so much conflicting information on weather or not...

    Automatic Cleaner Selection

So I ordered the nautilus cc (it's $599 on Amazon right now). Since ordering I'm somewhat concerned about it not being made specifically for above ground pools. I'm afraid of punctures and the possibility of wearing my liner down. How long have been using yours and have you had either of these...

    Automatic Cleaner Selection

Thank you all for the replies. I think I've narrowed it down to a to a robot. Now I just need to decide which one. The e10/s50 have attractive price tags but I don't want to skimp a couple hundred bucks if I'm loosing a lot of features over the nautilus cc. I know the main thing is the ability...

    Automatic Cleaner Selection

I recently had a new 21ft above ground pool installed and im looking to purchase an automatic cleaner. Robots seem to be the best option but I feel like it might be overkill for a small above ground. So I'm stuck between a pressure side and suction side cleaner. I have a VS pump but don't mind...

    DE Filter Backwash From Return

Hi all! I finally got my AGP installed yesterday (after a year of waiting) and I have a question about my DE filter. I have a simple AGP setup with flex 1.5 in tubing and no check valves or shutoffs. Im wondering when I need to clean the pump basket I can put a plug into the skimmer but water...

Single speed pump vs. Variable speed pump

What Hayward pump do you have? I've been looking at the Powerflow VS 300 but the controller doesn't look to be able to automate when it runs at each speed. The pump is so new I can't find much info on it online. Just curious, thanks

Variable Speed vs Single Speed Pump on AGP

I've decided to go with the VS pump. The reduced noise and the ability to run the pump longer at lower speeds were the main factors. That it will pay itself off in a handful of season is just an added benefit. Unfortunately COVID has delayed my pool until July so I'll have to wait to try it out...

Variable Speed vs Single Speed Pump on AGP

Unfortunately the pool builder did not give me that information. They left it vague at a 1HP Hayward SS pump.

Variable Speed vs Single Speed Pump on AGP

You don't think there could potentially be $30 to $50 a month savings paying itself off it 3 to 5 years? If that's the payoff period I'm okay with it especially with the added benefits of being quiet and running for longer hours to help in filtering.

Variable Speed vs Single Speed Pump on AGP

I am in the process of getting a small (21ft) AGP installed. The standard package comes with a single speed pump but with all I've read here I'm thinking of going variable speed. The added cost for the Hayward Proflow vs 300 is $700. If I did get this I would not install a time clock Wich saves...

    Help on Pool Selection

Also looking for recommendations on pumps. The base packages come with a single speed pump. Is it worth going all the way to a variable speed pump or is 2 speed adequate for a simple setup in a 21ft AGP? Outside of efficiency is the variable speed really that much quieter?

    Help on Pool Selection

Hi all, I am looking to purchase my first AGP and wanted some options. I have it narrowed down to two pools manufactured by Blue Cascade (links below). I'm looking at 21' in either option and the pool store/installer packages these with a 1HP pump and DE filter. The major difference is the Pearl...
