Depending on the model there will be a few troubleshooting steps we could try.
For the classic series you really want to make sure that your rollers are fully expanded.
If it is an Econ - there is a latch behind the pump head we need to make sure is fully secured.

If you are using 1/4" tubing, we suggest the UCAK100 (pk of 10 connecting nuts) and the UCAK200 (pk of 10 ferrules). If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us here.
We do not suggest using a 'Y' as there is a chance of leaking at the connection. In regards to using the 3/8" tubing, the 1/4" is fine as the pump is a positive displacement pump and increasing the tubing size does not affect the output, unless a viscous solution. I hope this might help.

Our pumps really only require tube changes **at least** annually - when pumping chlorine you may also want to routinely check your injection fitting for calcification. I've attached our basic service manual to answer any maintenance questions you may have.

What is the model and serial number from your pump?
If you are having issues with the output of the pump, it may be the suction tubing is not pushed into the pump tube as far as it will go. Make sure the ferrule is not crushed. Another place to check would be the injection fitting making...

The best way to tell if the roller assembly hub is cracked, is to remove the tube housing cover (front cover), start the pump and see if the shaft that goes through the roller assembly is turning and the rollers are stationary. That is an indication for a cracked roller assembly hub.
