Need recommendation: 2 speed pump or not? If so what timer to go with it?

I figured it needed to switch between high speed at start and low speed for longer times. I'm also looking at a variable speed unit Hayward SP2302VSP Max-Flo VS Variable-Speed Pool Pump Thanks in Advance for all opinions :)

Excellent explanation!!!! Being new here and getting my head (finally) around pool chemistry I was using my Taylor "watergarm" tool to the same thing. The Pool calculator is much better of course. Nicely done!

Its a while powder that I rinsed off the filter cartridge. I been fixing it slowly using a flocculant, disabling my pool sweep and vacuuming out of the...

Filter too small says Mr Honest Pool Store Guy.....

Hey Folks, When replacing my DE Filter years ago I replaced it with a 90 sq Ft Hayward Cartridge filter after looking at the in-store brochures. A year or so ago when I had my pool resurfaced (guniite to fiberglass) they tried to convince me I needed to get a larger filter. I have a 15kgal in...

Newbie SWG and copper plumbing question

I've never tested the pool water for Cu ions but isn't there a "possibility" of Cu depositing on one of the SWG cells electrodes? BTW I've only heard that from the Leslie's Pool folks. Can I ask this question differently? Has anyone with SWG and Cu plumbing run into cell issues? Again thanks in...

I've been looking into going with a SWG system for a year or so now. I've been told you can't use SWG if you have any copper plumbing. Is this statement true? Thanks in Advance!
