Yes, some visible scaling on the cell. Not so much on the plates but where the electrodes enter the top inside of the cell, and at the top of the electrodes where it meets the top of the plates. The first cell I owned had major scaling after one year, which according to the pool installer was...
@ajw22 Thank you. I will follow this article next time! I wish the cell was designed to easily come apart for cleaning. I followed this article to take apart my faulty cell. It required a bit of force, I am not sure I would try with a working cell for cleaning purposes...
The pool is 10,000 gallons. There was some calcium buildup on the plates, I used a salt cell cleaner (I can't recall the brand). I did note the manual said to use 10-1 water/muriatic acid. Someone at the local pool shop advised against that stating it is too harsh. Throughout most of the...
Hello from Canada.
More Salt Cell issues. My SWG was producing very low chlorine near the end of last season. I then started getting an Error 123 (Extremely low current to cell). My pool builder recommended yet my second salt cell in 5 years. I took it apart today and looked at the plates...
Hi - I am in Canada and looking for a single travertine pool deck tile (to cover the skimmer). Approx 12"x12" with a hole drilled in the center.
So far no luck locating a dealer who will sell a single tile. Is anyone aware of a Canadian or US dealer who would ship a single tile (Custom cut...
Happened to me twice this week. Only way to self fix is power cycle unit. I assume the reason Jandy can fix from their end, is because it's a cloud based app. I'm going to call support today. Sounds like a sw bug. You can actually replicate error by exiting schedule without saving. Will...
1400 series. I actually do have the block-out plate here. Yeah, we run the pump 24 hours a day. I had the generator at around 30% near the end of season and salt was reading 3200 PPM which I think is good. CYA and Chlorine were both a little low compared to optimal during water testing.
Guess I learned a lesson. New pool owner, will buy a test kit for next season and read up on 'pool school'. Yes, there is a mineral cartridge. We went with a pool installer who has been around for 50+ years with numerous locations. Their service is excellent. We trusted they knew what they...
Thanks everyone. The PB is replacing the cell. We will work on getting the PH / TA under control next season. We had our water tested several times when the pool was open and everything was showing good except TA/ PH.
Hi - We have a brand new pool opened in July of this year. We just had it closed and the Nature2 Cell was removed for winter. The casing is already cracked. I opened a call with service but would like opinions so I know what to say when the PB gets back to me. TIA
Hi - Yes, the white has tiny thin lines. Rougher feel. The landscaper insisted this was the correct side, I wasn't so sure. The top pool facing has a slight beveled edge. the rest is just sharp edge. Yes, Travertine decking.
So it looks like one piece of our limestone coping was put in wrong. The left picture is the one piece with the smoother / Ivory in colour shade. The right side picture is how the rest were installed. Does anyone know which is the right side? TIA
Thank-you. Very helpful to see it drawn out like this. To get to 3.5', do you have a slope off the bottom step? How do you find the 6' for jumps/cannonballs....?
The water depth has been a big debate here. lol. I also think 3' is too shallow. The PB said "The swimming pool industry all use the same wall heights so that its standardized (3’4”). With the waterline being 4” or so below the top of wall, you would get 3’ of water. If your friends have a...
Hi
Our pool builder came up with this design for our yard. We like the unique shape. It's about 13' wide and 28' at its longest. Probably looking at 3' - 5' in terms of water depth. We live in a cold climate and only have about 5 months a year of swimming weather. I think one skimmer is...
