What Herman said, pool stores poke your eyes. Order a proper test kit so you can test yourself. A Taylor K-2006C from Amazon will suffice. In the mean time put chlorine 1 gallon daily, to slow down the algae until you get that kit. Test everything so you have a base to start with. Up your CYA...

If it's not a chlorine issue, use some D.E. to help filter the small particles. A few rounds should clear up all the fine stuff.
