    Nature2 / Jandy PLC1400 error

Yes, I have only had 2 since the pool was built. First one went bad just before the 3 year mark. Pool company replaced it and I thought told me the one that was put in under warranty only had a 1 year warranty. So I had assumed the warranty was out on it now. I will follow back up with them...

    Jandy PLC1400 Replacement Cost

Thanks for that. I was looking at those myself. With my Jandy cells only has a couple years I am starting to think it can't hurt to try a third party cell.

    Nature2 / Jandy PLC1400 error

Mine latest one was installed July 22. So I got 1 and a half seasons out of it. That unit was a warranty replacement for my original that lasted 2 seasons. Each time its been corrosion on the prongs where the big black cable hooks to the cell. I definitely want a genuine jandy cell but don't...

    Jandy PLC1400 Replacement Cost

I am getting the same error codes on mine. The middle prong on where the cord connects to the cell on mine is corroded at the bottom and is a lot thinner there than the top. There's multiple websites that claim to have these in stock but prices vary and I don't know which ones to trust.

    Nature2 / Jandy PLC1400 error

Did you replace the cell yourself and if so where did you buy it from? Mine has the corroded middle prong where the cable connects so I think it needs to be replaced. Error codes 125/194.

Major Leak, Found it, Repaired it, Have Pictures

I know usually people post asking for help on this stuff but I never got around to it because I have been reading posts on TFP for the past 3 years pretty regularly and I had a good idea of what to do. So here's my story with pictures for others that may have a leak and search the forums or the...

Pump motor shaft sheared off. Anyone seen this before?

https://www.troublefreepool.com/threads/what-did-you-do-to-your-pool-today.89968/post-2439139 I think that was me. Mine was a Jandy pump. I was right under the 3 year warranty time frame for mine so they replaced it for free. I was going to say I wouldn't let this failure drive you away...

What did you do to your pool today?

It was a long night... Kids complained the pool was cold. I know that's not right because the heat pump is set to 90 degrees so their mom will actually get in the pool and not complain that its cold. I check a return to see if warm water is flowing only to find out no water is flowing. So I...

7-day vacation - use pucks or guesstimate on LC additions?

Last year my SWG quit right before a week long vacation. I raised to slam level AND used pucks while gone. My reasoning was the FC will start burning off as soon as I hit slam level. The pucks dissolve slowly enough that I'm not worried about them pushing me over slam level. I used 2...

    Fishing New Line In PVC

Typically I get a small plastic grocery bag and tie my pull string to it. I use the nylon pull string from the electrical isle at lowes. Then use a shop vac to suck the plastic bag/pull string through the pipe. Being that your pvc is probably below water level, I am not sure if that...

What is the proper way to dispose of this mixture?

This is an interesting conversation. What about people with a septic tank? I dump it down the drain and it goes to the septic tank then into my yard. I guess that is still better than in the rocks around the pool because it gets diluted in the septic tank first?

How Clear is TFP Clear? Let's See (Pics Only Please).

Looking in the deep end. 8ft deep at the drains. Thankful to have found TFP during my build. Have never had to SLAM so far, perfect water from the start.

    Critique my Build

Id like to reiterate this! Pebble spas can be rough on the skin and sitting and sliding around in a pebble spa would not be comfortable for long. Wet Edge has a higher tier plaster call Primera Stone It is a polished pebble plaster that is smooth to the touch. It would be an additional...

Dallas TX - Heater - Gas or Electric

I’m in NC so different climate. I have an electric meter dedicated to my pool and my power bill is usually $200 more in the summer months with the heat pump running to maintain temp. The shoulder months can be up to $500 more depending on weather.

    What is this thing?

I bought the sample sizer and the compatible Taylor vials. Its easy to use and speeds up my testing. Been very happy with it. I use a syringe for CYA testing to make sure I get equal parts water and CYA reagent.

    Polaris Freedom?

I don't have the aquaIQ+ but I do have a dolphin M600 that can use the app for all the things you listed. As soon as it dies I plan on getting the cordless version of the dolphin or the polaris. I used the app the first week to play with the robot, spot cleaning, etc... But after the first...

Fix for iAqualink 2.0 / EERO issue- Hardwire to a WiFi Extender

Heres mine. Knockout was on the antenna side next to the cover. Its a tight fit for a store bought cat6 cable. I think it would seal up pretty good just off of the tightness of the fit. I relocated mine next to my network switch. It was much easier to pull the 4 wire rs-485 cable to the...
