Is a saltwater easier to maintain? Should I stay away from the Intex systems? Any advice would help.

I do agree that the 2nd liner on top of the original liner helping. I was at an estate sale and purchased the same pool brand new in the box for $50. So I do have a backup if needed.

I guess I will go back to using tablets.

I am very impressed that my 4x15 steel frame pool has lasted 9 years here in NJ, it's been through rough winters and hurricanes. I've replaced the liner once by purchasing a regular pool liner and placing it over the original liner. Does anyone have one this old in rough climate like mine?

My 15x4 Intex pool made it through the winter. Also through Hurricane Sandy. The Water is crystal clear, but has some small debris in it. Should be an easy setup this year. It's 4 years old, got a new real pool liner last year and it frame still looks great.
