Thanks for all the nice comments. We thought the show went very well. We did not know what to expect. Theye did a great job up building some drama with the editing. Our daughter Savannah surely stole the show!

I jsut found out my wife has decided to make the viewing a party and has invited friends and neighbors. As we have not even seen the show yet, it should be interesting to get the instant reaction.

If you are going to go with a darker finish you need as many lights as possible. The colored lights loose much of there brightness when you have a dark finish.

We just found out officially that our episode of Groundbreakers will air next Saturday April 19th at 9am ET on HGTV. This was discussed in an earlier TFP newsletter and follows the build. Hope you get a chance to watch. Thanks, Matthew

We just put some on our covered patio. My wife picked out a few tables, rockers, and a glider. I will say that the build and look are very nice. They are pricey but are supposed to last much longer than traditional wicker. We are very happy with our choice.

They actually would rather film any drama that happens and we captured a few. Things went pretty much as planned and should all be captured.

Make sure you add a valve on the return to the deck jets from the pump. We had just a 3/4 pump on our 4 deck jets and they were shooting over 50 feet in the air. We had to add a valve to restrict some flow. Now we have the ability to adjust the pressure a get different levels with the deck jest.

Seemed like a lot to me at first but they are all used: 1 main pump for pool 2 jet pump for spa 3 sheer descents 4 deck jets at beach entry boooster for Polaris Blower for spa I love the Jandy actuated valves. Pretty cool to just push a button and see the valves turn. :goodjob:

Me too. We are off Johnson Road in the Edinburgh subdivision. We must be pretty close.

The filming was a fun process but we are happy to be done. It was a 4 month project, so between just dealing with the pool being bulit and then adding working with the TV crew, it was very involved. But I will say it was worth it!

Believe me, it was not an easy decision. We had a beautiflu 27' Cobalt. But after 4 years and only about 160 hours we made the sale. It was just in time too, with the drought here in Georgia the marina where we kept our boat is dry. Lake Lanier is down so far not many boats are getting used...

We sold our boat with that exact thought in mind. With all the kids sports on the weekend we never had time to get away. Now we just have to walk outside. I should have updated pictures tomorrow. The HGTV crew is coming to shoot the final act tomorrow.

I will try to post some better shots when the sun is not hiding as well as some shots from in the pavilion. It is sunken 42" below water level and the view is really cool from inside.
