    Travertine Rusting??

I would say that the metal structure that is in the picture is releasing rust from the inside and when it rains it is spreading out around that area. Might want to remove that structure and check through the inside of the square tubing.

Saltwater Pool - Travertine with Concrete Coping or Porcelain Tile to Edge

Nice project you got going on. I would say to stick to the natural stone. I’m having a similar issue in deciding whether to go with travertine or marble. I had considered porcelain but ruled it out after feeling a few samples. It just didn’t feel right for me and felt more slippery when wet.

Anyone know where to find Rain Cloud marble pavers other than NJ?

I’m looking for rain cloud marble pavers. Fell in love when I saw the picture attached. Got a quote from New Jersey. It’s a little on the high side but the freight really kills it. Anyone know of where I can find these marble pavers somewhere closer to Texas?

Pool Construction on pause due to deck decision

Oh wow. That one looks nice too. It looks like a limestone I had seen called shell beige. I’ll call noble tile tomorrow to get pricing. I’ve found some good prices but the freight is expensive. Btw, thanks for taking a pic of Platinum Ice.

I haven’t seen that one online. Ice white is the one I’ve gotten the quote on. I’ll google the platinum ice. Thanks.

Pool Construction on pause due to deck decision

Yeah I’m afraid of that. However the one I’m looking at is sandblasted or tumbled. Were the steps you encountered in Italy also like that or were they smooth and polished?

Pool Construction on pause due to deck decision

No I don’t have any of that material. I have a sample of a marble coping that is polished. That one is slippery. The ones they offer me are either sandblasted or tumbled. I guess that’s to make it not so slippery.

Pool Construction on pause due to deck decision

Hi. I’m pretty new to the forum. Started my pool and I haven’t been able to move forward for weeks already. Trying to decide on my coping. Initially i was going to go with travertine but couldn’t find the right shade. Everything seemed too dark or had an orange hue to it. Anyways, I’m wanting to...
