Pretty sure I just came dangerously close to a problem of biblical proportions. When I put pressure on the liner to wipe it down before taping it up, it made a bang and split open! 😬 I Gorilla Taped the poop out of it as fast as I could. Seemed to stick underwater. 😬

While waiting, should I attempt to patch that hole/tear so it doesn't possibly cause a catastrophe?

Water level started dropping noticably this weekend and while inspecting for where the leak could be, I noticed this. Figured there wasn't much sense in pursuing the leak at that point and the water level seems to have stabilized, albeit about an inch or so below the low water line on skimmer...

Seems like the 3 hours a day is darn near spot on. CL has been around 3.5-3.6 for the last several days without hot tub use or CL additions. Did have to drop in an ounce of MA to nudge pH down a little

I was thinking along the lines of, the bottles come very tightly sealed from the factory, but once that seal is broken and the bottle recapped, it can leak vapors. The vapors do not have to "rise" out of the bottle... temp and pressure changes will force them out.

Don't know. Maybe put a handful of nails next to the bottle and see how long until they rust.

My tub is on a raised deck platform that sits about 2' high. It's up against the house and two sides are steps up, but there is a section that isn't a step with lattice covering the side... I may have an idea!

I've had issues in the past with MA fumes from opened containers that are tightly capped rusting anything nearby. My MA stays outside year round in the pool equipment corral that's open but fenced in. Our door out to the deck and hot tub is in our dining room, so not really convenient to store...

Spa steps with storage would be kind of sweet. A bit pricey and plasticy though.

Could go the 5gal bucket route. Wouldn't exactly blend with the patio decor, but so be it. I even have a couple of extra Gamma screw on lid kits for buckets I could use.

Dating myself, but I was just thinking a couple of old milk boxes would work great. Got me thinking some more... a couple of cheap coolers may work for mini deck chemical storage boxes. I think I even have one or two floating around here.
