    Vacuum / Robot Recommendation

Hi! I know the recommendation around here is to call Marina in Colorado about a pool robot. I am going to do that tomorrow, but I also wondered if there are any recommendations or advice other than that. I am looking for a robot so I don't have to vacuum any more. Vacuuming is the main thing I...

    Consequences of too much Chlorine

Just wondering and trying to learn. Like when someone is posting in here about a green pond, and the suggestion is to add a gallon of bleach daily to start. Why not add a lot more than that?

    Consequences of too much Chlorine

Hello, Out of curiosity, what are the consequences of adding too much chlorine? If for example during SLAM, when nobody is swimming anyway, what is the harm is adding too much? Thanks! Ben

Thanks! Follow up question, why does the Taylor kit say 30 ppm FC to shock and this site says 12?

    Second day of SLAM

Hi! Here are my current K-2006 numbers: FC: 8.5 ppm CC: 0.5 ppm pH: 7.4 Alk: 100 ppm Ca: ? Seems to turn purple, even when adding R-0012 first to make up for iron / copper interference CYA: <30 ppm My plan is to add some CYA and more chlorine to keep CYA around 30 and shock level FC at 12...

    New Pool Guy

Hello Maddie, Is is indeed a custom shaped pool. Interesting location too, at the back of the property behind trees. I've even had a pool company come and then leave because they couldn't find it! The previous owner of my house was terminally ill, so I'm pretty sure the bar was for low impact...

    New Pool Guy

Hi! This site is such a fantastic resource. I am starting my second summer with an in ground pool. Last summer was my first, I had a new liner installed and all new water delivered. I pretty much winged it by adding chlorine almost daily and using testing strips. I adjusted pH and added a little...
