    Pool too Hot

Finally fixed our heat problem without using evaporation and it saves chlorine too as the sun doesn't eat it up. Got a vinyl tarp off amazon that reflects the sun nicely. It rests on top of the solar bubble cover. If I want to warm it a bit then I use the solar panels.

    Pool too Hot

So we recently replaced our in-ground pool liner. It was a light blue and is now a darker blue. While it looks great we are finding the pool temperature averaging in the low 90's. We like it in the low 80's and even keeping the solar cover off it still hits 90. I was looking at putting a...

    Is CircuPool really the best?

I've been running my Core-55 in our 20-K gallon for a couple months now. It has 25% output increments. I installed it vertically off the discharge of the filter. I did not have a long run to install horizontal and I did not want to turn the plumbing into a mess. So far I keep the output at...

    The conversion begins-SWCG

Yep there is sufficient flow. I can see the flow switch all the way over, hydrogen bubbles are being made and the unit is still on. At 75% power I get too much chlorine and at 50% its way low. I use a Taylor Technologies K-2005-SALT Test Kit Complete High I feel i'm measuring accurately...

    The conversion begins-SWCG

I hate to hijack but this thread is real close to my problem and may help the OP. I bought the core 55 last month and I have a 20-K gallon pool. I have it mounted vertically and it seems to be working fine. I see the hydrogen bubbles increase as the % selector increases. I have it wired to...

Is a separate SWG timer good practice

I'm currently doing the wiring for my Core 55. I'm a bit over on my sizing as I have 18-K gallon pool. There are a couple of concerns I have. 1: I may have too much chlorine at 25% output as I can only set in 1/4 increments. 2: I noticed someone else had a severe corrosion issue with...

    CIRCUPOOL Core SWCG's

My core 55 arrived today. My initial impression is that it is a well made unit and packaged nicely. To answer questions, You cannot rotate the control head as the cell can only plug in one direction to the controller. The cell also has to be inserted the same other way as it is keyed to it's...

    CIRCUPOOL Core SWCG's

I'm unsure of the Core circuity but It would appear that the Core design uses less electricity according to the user manual than previous models. By the looks and weight of the RJ plus I'm guessing it has a large transformer that requires a heat sink and this may be less efficient. I do not...

SWCG Install before Solar Heat OK?

Thanks for the quick reply. My pool shed has the pump next to it and my solar 3-way valve is next to utility garage 15 ft away. It would be a pain to put the SWCG that far away from the electrical while its the same water circuit.

SWCG Install before Solar Heat OK?

Moved from here. Not sure if this was resolved but I will be plumbing my Core 55 shortly and I also have a solar heater with very similar plumbing. I was wondering if it is OK to plumb off the discharge of the filter to bypass these problems or is there a very specific reason to be at the...

    CIRCUPOOL Core SWCG's

I just bought the core 55 with the $10 upgrade deal yesterday. I'm prepping a spot to space it in now. You mentioned it is installed Vertically? Didn't know that was an option. Is there any problem with warranty this way? This direction would save me a lot of piping work.
