Warrior Se/Dolphin 200 - starts than stops issue

Thanks for the quick reply! Is there a go-to bot these days? I don't need anything fancy, but if there is something that improves upon the Warrior SE, I'm not budget limited.

Warrior Se/Dolphin 200 - starts than stops issue

I have a 5 year old Pentair Warrior SE bot that's been very reliable, works well - just a bit of normal wear and tear. I've checked the impeller, gears, treads, etc. When I start the bot, the blue light lights up, impeller runs, tread runs - for 10 seconds or so and then it stops. I've held...

    Globrite replacement frustration

I have two globrites that have failed, out of warranty of course. I read that the 2024 manufactured units are better, so I bought two replacements. One has been an easy replacement, unlocked from the niche, pulled a pull line through conduit from pool side, new one pulled back through and...

    Adding Solar Heating

Thanks for the insight. There really is no better option. I'm in Sacramento area so I think the panel locations should work fine. The panels will be Heliocol. Splitting to three roofs isn't ideal, I know, but there isn't room in my yard for any structures. The pool takes up most of the...

    Adding Solar Heating

The solar provider has revised their design and will be placing the panels on three sections of roof: west, east, and a small portion south. That should give me the performance I am seeking. The north roof is too steep to be of use.

    Adding Solar Heating

I'm only looking for May to September, and whatever we can get in late April and early Oct. The questions is whether 430 sf of North facing panels for a 425 sf pool will provide 5 to 8 degrees higher temps at any time of year compared to what we get otherwise would get with bubble cover alone...

    Adding Solar Heating

Thanks for the feedback. Last year, we kept the pool cover on almost all the time to get get max temps. So the questions for a 100% sf solar install on a 32.4 degree pitch North facing roof are: 1. Will I be able to maintain high 80s water temps with only having to use the cover overnight on...

    Adding Solar Heating

This will be the second year of having a pool. Last year made all the difference in surviving the covid madness here in CA. Good family time! We used a solar cover and I'm surprised how well that worked, we had 85+ water during most of the swimming months until the ash/smoke haze from the...

New Inground Pool - In Construction!

Just a quick update, being a new pool owner, I've learned a lot. Still learning. Pool has been converted to salt and I'm working on dialing in the hours the pump is on and the percentage of the SWG. The initial pool service guy set up the pump to run from 8am to 3pm, 2200 rpms on the pump. I...

New Inground Pool - In Construction!

I'm still working the TA, but it's slow going. Basically adding a gallon of MA every other day and running waterfalls for 4 hours. PH is staying between 7.2 and 8 during the process. TA is down to 130 today. Salt conversion happens next week.

New Inground Pool - In Construction!

I'm a few weeks in, salt conversion should happen in a week or so. Learning the chemistry, trying to get PH and TA down. Here are some pics of full pool. Rest of the yard landscaping is on hold for now so it's a lovely pool surrounded by dirt. FC 2.5 CYA 70 PH 8.2 TA 150 CH 300 I added...

New Inground Pool - In Construction!

That's a good point. While I haven't spoken to the pool contractor yet, my understanding is the pool fills and runs for 30 days before salt is added and SWG turned on. So, pool robot 30 days after that?
