I just added my last to gallons of bleach. I'll have to go for a bleach run to re-stock tomorrow. I'll re-test and post results tomorrow. Are the other levels at an acceptable level?

I will add more chlorine. I've added some off and on for the past two weeks but I will put more in tonight and test again tomorrow. Thanks!

Well I will have to stop by the pool store and look at a label. I was just wondering if we are talking oz.s or lbs. that will be needed. The pool store sells the sodium bromide in either 2oz. or 4lb. containers.

You say the bromide bank should be at 30. The test strips for bromide that I found (online) measure in 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, 2,500 and 3,000 ppm. How does this compare to the 30 you suggested? Is there other strips in different calibrations? I will be checking at the local pool store today and...

We opened our pool this Tuesday and went to fire up our pump only to find it seized up. So after researching I found a replacement pump (Sta-Rite Super Max 1.5 HP 2 Speed). I ordered it today but it will take 3-5 business days to get here. So in the mean time I have no circulation in the pool...

I've searched just about every pump manufacturer and have yet to find a 2-speed pump with a switch. Does anyone know of one that I am overlooking? If not wouldn't a simple toggle switch rated appropriately work?

Whew! Thank you Bama!! I have a 18' x 36' in ground cement pool with a 5'x5' inground spa. If I do not need to change out the pump itself should I stay with a sta-rite replacement motor or will a Whisperflo bolt right up as well? Also any online source suggestions??
