repair or remove fiberglass pool before selling house

Originally the pool builder had told us they were going to put the fiberglass and the deck concrete into the hole. Sounded like it was done that way quite commonly. The excavator said "no" the day of excavation. He didn't feel that was the way to go with the new pool going in a few feet away...

repair or remove fiberglass pool before selling house

Our fiberglass pool was a lot older, but, even back at 15, it needed a serious facelift. We knew the old pool would be an issue if we ever needed/wanted to sell. An older pool in need of repair will always scare a portion of potential buyers away. "You will not recover the cost of installing a...

New Build - Pearland (S. Houston)

We did water the gunite right away (felt a little unnecessary) - even though a friend's gunite had a lot of water in it for weeks, our PB brought out a pump and pumped ours down. We could have saved him the trip out here, we had an old pump from a previous septic system. The last time we had...

New Build - Pearland (S. Houston)

12 hours after our gunite was in we received 13 inches of rain in a 5 hour period. At the time they told us they just needed 5 hours before heavy rain. They covered the gunite as it was sprinkling while they were finishing up.

Small pool reno with cabo shelf

I think you are doing a great addition to your pool. What will be the surface dimensions of the cabo shelf? We gave a shelf a lot of thought and ended up doing a bit of a "cabo step". It has turned out to be our 3 yr old grandson's favorite play spot in the pool. 16.5" of water, he finds all...

    Concrete delivery access problem

Our decking guys kept the cement truck on the main road and "ferried" the concrete up our driveway using some sort of bobcat type thing with really deep wheelbarrow attachment.

    New build finally starting!

John would you give more details about your inground plumeria? I have one that is tall and falling over from the weight of the leaves. Yours have much shorter bases and look much better than mine. Thanks!

    Pebble Sheen Colors in Houston

For me it was more about what I didn't want, I didn't want a super dark, I didn't want light blue, I didn't want a pure medium blue, probably because the our 30 yr old pool had been blue. Husband said no to the green options. When I saw Blue Surf it seems like a more complex color and I thought...
