    Sanity Check

Must be UV I think, The fiber glass wall below water level looks original colour (obviously it is wet) The fiber glass wall above water level when wet looks original (albeit a little more dull) CSI is low CH is very low (and no calcium in Fiber Glass Shell or gelcoat)

    Sanity Check

Thanks all, I have a very faint white line (right on the water line) and then the rest of the fibreglass above the waterline is dulled. The UV here is extremely harsh, would this likely be UV oxidation? My CH Levels have always been low and CSI is negative, so I doubt it's calcium scale. Just...

    Sanity Check

Thanks Crad. Actually went back to the owners manual for the pool and they basically say CH level of no more thank 150, and in the next sentence to not ever add calcium to the water. Would a balanced approach here to simply increase the CH level to maybe 100-120ish and move on with my life 😀

    Sanity Check

Do you think I should increase the CH a little? Having trouble getting the CSI in line without increasing the CH level. Very confused.

    Sanity Check

Thanks all. I do track my CSI it is -1.05. However due to my pool not having calcium in its construction the reading throws me. I feel that the CSI calculator does not take into account fiber glass pools with no calcium in the shell or gel coat. Any thoughts or leave as is?

Dissolved Dirt in Pool, floc or not with cartridge filter - Driving me crazy !

Thankyou Brett, that makes a lot of sense. Would I be best to have the robot running round the pool (to stir any sediment up), although mind you doesn't appear to be much. Or just leave and potentially vacuum to waste at the end? Also would you recommend running the pump on a lower speed? Ive...

Dissolved Dirt in Pool, floc or not with cartridge filter - Driving me crazy !

G'day all Over the weekend we had an extensive amount of rain which has allowed a bunch of dirt / soil to enter the pool. The pool now has a very cloudy brown look to it. The bottom of the pool is clean, just microscopic dissolved dirt particles. I've tested the water with my Clear choice Labs...

Easy way to get rid of rust marks?

Hi all We had a new pergola installed adjacent to our fibreglass pool. Seems a bunch if metal shavings, (likely from when they were installing the metal roof) have made their way into the pool. I now have a bunch of small rust marks. It's not the end of the world, but ideally I'd like to...

Still a bit confused about CSI As mentioned above I have confirmed with my fibreglass pool manufacturer that there is no calcium in the gelcoat or filler, so not sure I need to be too concerned but wanted to double check. Here's todays numbers PH: 7.4 FC: 5 CC: 0-0.5 TA: 80 CH: 150 CYA: 60...

Hi all! Thanks for all the advice Another quick questions, this time in regards to FC. I just tested the FC (the SWCG had been running for around 3.5 hours) and the FC was 6.5. The day was very overcast, not a lot of sun. The only thing is I have the Chlorinator turned down to 3 (there are 8...
