Yes the liner is still really nice, not brittle at all. I'll try and use a small patch on the outside of the liner to pull that tear back together. I'll look for some glue that is vinyl specific. I didn't think to do a double patch...good idea! Anyone else have any thoughts? Thanks Chuck

Oh, pH is ok for now, as it's fine to start a shocking process with close to 7.2 rather than 7.8-8.0. TA is fine. I run mine at 100.

Hi again, :) I would redo your CYA test today in full sun with your back to the sun and make sure you mix and let stand 30 seconds and mix again then add to CYA tube. You also could do the test with 50/50 of tap water and CYA reagent, then double the result. CYA test are harder to do at close...

Me too! 8-) Mine is a 72" expandable with a deep center, what I now know after doing this install myself, I would dig more slope to the center and go 6' 4" as this liner was very expandable and wouldn't have been no problem to do. Chuck

When in a hurry... don't skimp on the chlorine, never let it fall below shock value. Overdose by a couple of ppm to maintain any losses that may put you under your CYA shock value. When I shocked with 40 cya, I used 50 cya on the chart, long work days were setting me back with a sand filter...

Hi again, :) I would maybe add just a little more chlorine at dosing time and shoot for 12-13 ppm, you don't want to let the chlorine level EVER fall below your shock value. (will give you a little safety margin if your CYA is slightly higher than 20) Chuck
