Just an update: sent this in as it was in warrantee and got it back. It's working fine now.

One thing I've read here is that mechanical timers might get out of sync with the pump. That's why I understand now that getting an SWG of the same brand as the pump often makes the most sense as they can work together better, depending on your needs.

Every single time. Some times I've got to look at the RPMs to actually "see it working" (no sound).

I also had the same question myself and went with an IntelliFlo because it would allow me to expand in the future... Thatsaid, the future is here and I've expanded nothing :)

Wanted to share that my pool cleaner, after merely 3 years, needed new wheel-ball bearings (they were missing balls and were visually weared out), and an overall cleaning. Ended up needing to get into the motor to solve the issue. It seems the main impeller motor had so much ferrite magnet dust...

The flow switch is a simple artifact on the RJ-60+. I got the same one. Tested it and it works but, as it is generally advised here, I would not rely on it alone for controlling the SWG start/stop.

Absolutely true. I am enthusiastic about DYI'ing all this. Yesterday was able to control the pump already -and that was the most cumbersome thing in my head so far-, thanks to the work of the community, with nodejs-poolController.

Ok. Got the waveshare Adapter Original FT232RL stick. There's three inputs. How do you connect it? I got the original intelliflo cable that came with the pump.

I've drained this pool a couple of times and never added salt. Can someone explain how I am at 3200ppm regardless?? Both the SWG and the Taylor test can't be wrong 🤠 By the way, the SWG says that's "Average", so I'll add some salt tomorrow to get to the 3500ppm recommend by the manual.
