So I have been slamming and everything is going good. My chlorine dropped to 9 since the last time I added chlorine and I’m supposed to be keeping it at 16. I decided to test the pH and it is now down to 6.8. Should I raise it some and then keep adding chlorine?

Ok so raise CYA from 0 to 30? And lower pH by entering something like 8.2 down to 7.8 and keep going by .4 each time until I get to 7.2-7.5? How long to wait in between adding for pH to test again? And same with CYA to test again?

We did use the net and got all big debris out we think. I have run the robot about 4-5 times since yesterday and just filled mainly with algae. Do I consider CYA a level of 0 since it was clear to the top? And what level would I consider the pH?

I am opening my pool and it is very green with lots of algae and I think even back swimmers and/or water boatman. The CYA is testing at zero. I also tested the pH, which is off the charts like. Bright red/purple color. Should I just start slamming with chlorine instead of adjusting the CYA and...

Ok so I tested last night, raised 10 ppm then tested again at 1/2 hour, and FC was 11.5, tested this morning and it was 11.5. Stayed the same. Any thoughts? Should I try raising the CYA?

It is mesh filters for sure. I don’t think I ever saw pleated filters.

Or do the filters need changed on the actual basket and I never knew this?

Maybe this is the problem? Maybe I need another diner filter for it?

Maybe I’m wrong, I don’t think mine has filters? Just a filter basket that comes in and out to get cleaned?

It’s a dolphin. I’m wondering if it’s not picking up like it should be bc this same thing was happening at the end of last summer. The vacuum is probably 5 years old.

Yea it poofs away but then resettles eventually. Is not filtering out properly?

Hello! So I slammed my pool and passed all three tests. But now I have brown dead algae (I’m assuming) sitting at bottom of pool that I can’t get up. I have a robot vacuum and it just isn’t getting it. Any suggestions?

How will I know all the ammonia is gone? The FC stays above 5?

After reading another past post on here about ammonia, I am going to treat for ammonia every 30 minutes testing until my chlorine stays above 5ppm. The hen I will just SLAM as normal. Just wondering at what point should o try to lower the ph? And will I need to raise the CYA eventually?

Do you think I have ammonia? My ph is really high not low and my CC is low at .05 not high.

What do you suggest?

15 minute test results FC 3.5 CC .05 CYA could see the black dot with it filled to the top CH 175 TA 66 PH 8.2 or higher(8.2 was highest reading)
