I have lost my mind - installed a water softner for the pool. Since I have a saltwater pool, the intent is to use potassium cubes instead of salt so that I don’t mess up the salt levels. Does this make sense??

I don’t have a whole house water softener, but would like a smaller unit for the pool…any recommendations / install pics would be appreciated.

Started out with 350....steadily been increasing, now approx 500....what is causing the increase? I do have a waterfall that has calcium buildup on the mortar between the boulders - from water seeping through cracks in the mortar from behind. Fill water is low CH, can’t recall, will test in the AM.
