    Update on this: it was a huge wad of leaves that somehow got stuck in the valve. Had to drain the pool ultimately to get the repair done. Added some isolation valves so I wont have to drain it in the future for equipment repairs.

    swirling in pebbletec after wash, normal: Yes or No?

    After my PB was done with the acid wash I'm seeing what looks like a swirl pattern of remaining plaster (not fully exposed aggregate). Is this normal and will it resolve during the curing process and pool startup/balancing?

    We just had the first phase of pebbltec ocean blue pool plaster completed today and an area of gunite efflorescence (was a line of white dripping down from this area) appears to be showing through as a patch of darkness.
