Best handheld manual vacuum for dirt/silt

Love my PoolBlaster Max also. Got a great deal on the upgraded PoolBlaster LI (Lithium Battery) last year and I think that vac performs even a bit better. I clean up my pool after a storm with the Blaster.

Favorite Push Pool Vacuum Cleaner? AND BEST replacement pool vacuum head to use with hose/skimmer?

I love my Pool Blaster Max. My very first one lasted about 4-5 years. It was still relatively new to the market I think. My second one not so great, 2-3 years. My third has been going strong for at least 6 years. I did buy the Pool Blaster Max LI last year just because I got a great deal...

Michigan Weather - Snowing Outside In Late April? Ugh

It's always a crapshoot on opening a pool in this state. I usually shoot for mid-May but will open earlier if the weather is right for it. Right now in Michigan though I'm probably not ALLOWED to go in my backyard.

Am I lucky or is it the norm?

You are not just lucky, you are smart. You are a TFP'er.

    New to the Forum

Welcome and thank you for your service. You are going to be saving ALOT of money! Since you have been reading up on TFP have you decided to buy a test kit yet? Quite a few of us have chosen the TF100 along with the Speedstir. Good luck with the re-surfacing.

    battery pool vacuums

I left the wheels on. I think I posted here to ask if it was OK. Since I have had a couple of Blasters I have a couple extra heads. The very first one had nice size brushes on the head. Longer than the newer ones. With the wheels on though it gives the head a bit of a lift and that helps...

    battery pool vacuums

I have the Pool Blaster Max and the Pool Blaster Max LI. I just got the LI version a month ago because I got a good deal on it. I have had my Max for I'm guessing 5 years now. I don't use any other vac method and this keeps alot of debris out of my filter. I just cleaned up after a storm...

AGP how long last? How big to go?

My pool is a Doughboy 24' round with a deep end. It was here when I bought the house in 1998. It was installed by a local Doughboy dealer in 1985! The dealer is also still in business here. I did replace the liner.

    SkimDevil

Love it, AZ! The $600 I saved by NOT buying the Solar Breeze buys me lots MORE cold ones!

    SkimDevil

Sounds fun but I shouldn't drink and drive. With a net in one hand I can have a cold one in the other!
  16. D

Thought I'd get you guys fired up this morning.

I got the same Shock Week card from MY local pool store here in Michigan!

    SkimDevil

Thanks MyAZPool. Not affordable for me but a nifty gadget all the same. I only have about a 3-4 month pool season here and I keep my solar cover on when not using the pool. Guess I'll just keep my net handy!

    SkimDevil

Never heard of the SkimDevil. Sorry that I can't help you but now I'm interested!

    Robot pool cleaner?

I tried a Rover Jr. once but with the way my pool is dished the little dude just couldn't get out of the deep end. Now I use the Pool Blaster Max and love it. I don't mind vac'ing and it keeps the debris out of the filter.

    Robot pool cleaner?

You will always get dirt and various debris that find their way into your pool. Keeping it vac'd out and the chemistry balanced will prevent any algae.

Do I have to use Liquid Chlorine?

My pool was never "perfect" under the pool store guidelines. That way they could sell me stuff to correct what they messed up the previous week. A vicious cycle! You'll get it, and probably quicker than you can imagine. I gotta believe that adding chlorine everyday or every other day is...

Looking for a Sand and silt bag for a Pool Blaster Millennium Li

I put skimmer socks inside the regular bag. Works great!

New to TFP but not to pools!

Up here in Michigan isn't any better weatherwise! I do believe though summer has finally started here. 87 degrees and sunny all day today! Great day out in the pool. So what if the lawn needed to be mowed! Read all you can and then read it again. Get a good test kit ( TF100 is my choice...

    TFP Method?

Too much rain up here also. Been in the pool 3 times--twice to vac up all the "helicopters" and once to vac up all the cottons. It looked like a family of drowned 'possums in the deep end. I pulled as many little helicopters off the solar cover as I could before spraying 'em into the pool...

    Winter Skimmer Plug

My doughboy dealer gave me a good deal on the "plug" you have in your pic. Didn't work. I even put the skimmer cover over it and still had a pretty good water loss. Just takes a bit longer to lose all your water!

    AG manual pool vacuum

I use a Pool Blaster Max. Put the brushes on instead of the wheels. It is completely independent of your filtration system. I clean my cart maybe once during the pool season. In Michigan the season can be all too short! Between the Pool Blaster vac and skimmer "socks" I keep a lot of crud...

What did I get myself into....

No need to be a chemist! Grab a TF100 and Speedstir to complete your investment in your pool. Use Pool Math and ask questions as needed.
