    Hayward Tristar Motor Replacement

I wanted to do the same thing, and the parts look to be the same, but my pump is a little different - spx3210z2ber. The sizing of the impellerSPX3205C impeller was a little confusing so I wanted to make sure I had the correct parts. Any additional comments would be welcome: SPX3205C impeller...

Autopilot DIG-220 Low amps warning - resolved

When I open the pool this year I started to get the dreaded flashing warning light, and the low amp warning. The test from the menu showed low amp/low voltage so I am hoping it is not the power module. The cell is fairly new, and looked pretty clean. I went ahead with cleaning 4:1 muratic...

    Autopilot DIG220 Fried Board

Picked a MOV up at Radio Shack (only one they carried), but still not powering up. I was trying to probe some points on the board with a voltmeter to make sure it was getting power. I get voltage at the input, and across the tabs with 'EMI' on them, but not much further. Its going on day...

    Autopilot DIG220 Fried Board

Thanks for the clarification. Sounds like it did what it was designed for - just hope it did it before any other components were destroyed. I will pick one up and post results.

    Autopilot DIG220 Fried Board

[attachment=1:m8g5mqvv]DSC02617cropped.JPG[/attachment:m8g5mqvv] Same issue - different capacitor. We had a storm last night and the circuit breakers were tripped. When I turned the breakers back on my Autopilot 220 did not have power. Opened up the unit and one of my capacitors was blown...

Autopilot Check Flow and 0 SALT cleared

This is my 3rd year (first season only used 1.5 months) using the autpilot dig 220 and in general it has been working pretty good - although the temp reading was always 4-5 degrees high. I added some salt a few weeks ago, and I had a reading of 3300 - everthing good. Today I noticed that a...

    Ladder Guard Question

I have a polaris 380 cleaner, and for the most part it cleans well, but it gets stuck on the steps in the deep end. I have seen a couple of posts about ladder guards (like the polaris G-21), and was wondering if anyone has used this model or similar models, and has there been any issue of...

Get rid of CC without ruining the party on memorial day

New numbers: TC 3 FC 3 CC 0 I guess you have to be more cautious with the numbers from the pool store. BTW I thought the TA was low because the test kit (TF-100) indicated a good TA range of 90 - 120. I am glad I don't have to do anything about it. Is a CL change from 5.5 to 3 in 6 hours...

Get rid of CC without ruining the party on memorial day

To turn off the SWG I usually just change it to 0%. Is there a different way to do it? I will take a new test in about 30 minutes and post the latest numbers

Get rid of CC without ruining the party on memorial day

Last night I put in 3 Gal 6% bleach, and from the BleachCalc and expected that to get my level to 8ppm. Ran the pump continuous, and expect to do this until tomorrow. . My test (FAS/DPD) this morning 10AM had TC = 5.5 (spilled before I could figure out CC). I did the CYA test, but I...

    IG pool cover recommendation

I have to order an IG pool cover and wanted to make sure I was ordering from a vendor with a good product/track record. I am leaning towards a mesh cover b/c a hard cover may be too difficult to manage. Thanks

Very low CL - zero cyanuric acid - a-pilot SWG - next step?

Thanks for the skimmer/sock suggestion - I will do that in the future. I can now see that it dissolves quite slowly. Would just using the vaccuum to get it off the bottom be better then just letting it sit? I would expect that to cause my pressure to rise a little bit until it was dissolved.
