Pentair IC40, no flow, low salt reading.

There is no pump relay? The inteliflo pump is operated by the connection to the Easytouch.

Pentair IC40, no flow, low salt reading.

When I installed the salt cell years ago I asked Pentair about wiring and they gave me the idea that the salt cell was powered on full time. My salt cell does not lose power in the schedule. Should I rewire it to a relay in the schedule?

Pentair IC40, no flow, low salt reading.

Thanks for the info. The 12-hours, is this running 12-hours or just twice a day regardless of if it's running? Pool is running from 9-5 daily.

Pentair IC40, no flow, low salt reading.

We opened up the pool late, usually mid May. Opened last Saturday and it's been warm, pool was all algae. Turned the pool on and the 9-year old IC40 salt cell is reporting 400PPM of salt. I put salt in to bring it up, went up as high as 900PPM but I then looked for my Salinity meter and it...

    Badujet Winterizing, pool swim system.

I Have a 3 jet Badujet system that is giving me some trouble winterizing. They don't make a very good gasket and I'd like to make my own. The jet cover is a 6-inch cover that uses a gasket about 8-inches in diameter with a inside diameter of about 6-inches. I'd like to find a good 1/4 inch...

Help: I did something really stupid.. Heat Exchanger Plumbing

Sorry about that, I can't imagine how you'd fix bad threads without drilling and tapping out for the next size up. I just bought a gas heater and noticed that the unit would run without water going through it because the pressure switch gets activated by pressure in the system. With it...

Adding Pentair LP-Heater to Pentair Easy Touch system with solar, help installing.

Yea, not very clear. Like the solar system I thought I'd isolate the heater with a Jandy valve but the diagrams provided by Pentair don't show this as a possibility. I'm looking for how to connect the heater in my system and as I mentioned I'd like to isolate it with a Jandy valve.

Adding Pentair LP-Heater to Pentair Easy Touch system with solar, help installing.

I have a Pentair Easy Touch 4 control system with a Pentair VS pump, Pentair salt cell and a Heliocol solar system. I want to add a Pentair MasterTemp 250K BTU heater to the system because in the last couple years we've not been able to rely on the sun for heat. We like the pool to be 90 and if...

    Pentair Screenlogic Control Question

Re: Pentair Screenlogic install I'm trying to install the screenlogic myself. I had no issues installing it but I have no clue how to access it outside my home network (LAN). I use a static IP address so installing equipment on the LAN usually requires me to assign a permanent IP address with a...

    Pentair Screenlogic Control Question

I've installed the Screenlogic 2 interface into my Easytouch system and I didn't have a issue at the house but I can't see how to access outside my LAN. The simple IP setup doesn't include the ability to change the port from 80 and so port forwarding isn't going to work for me. I have a static...

Was going to install a SWG but having second thoughts

I have to tell you, I love the salt pool, I hate swimming in non salt pools. My neighbor down the street told me the pool installer, same as me, told him he'll regret it. The pool installer told me the same thing but I went against him and did it anyway. I think they just want the chemical...

Water loss with pump on, leak in sand filter.

Yes, top of the filter, goes around 360 degrees, has backwash, waste, rinse, winter, etc.. I think I'll take your advice and take it apart in the spring. Thanks.

Water loss with pump on, leak in sand filter.

I've had a leak in the pool for a month now and I just got around to trying to figure it out. Called the pool company and they came, said the pool is not leaking and left. Still loosing water and I can't figure it out. My wife, engineer, walks outside with me and looks at it and asks about each...

    Hayward ColorLogic 4.0 Light?

If you go back to my post a couple up you'll see I had the Hayward and it failed due to water leakage. Hayward has since sent me a replacement even though mine was out of warranty a couple years. I had done a good job of documenting what I believed to be the point of failure to them which...

    Hayward Colorlogic 4.0

I sent my findings to Hayward even after they had said no to replacing the light and they have since replaced the light. I know things go bad and we all have to deal with this and the expense especially with pools but I applaud Hayward for realizing that I had done the research. Just maybe there...

    Hayward Colorlogic 4.0

I am updating this to show my findings from having benched the light. When I took the light apart I found water inside the light which one would assume is the most probable cause the light failed. The reason I believe water was able to get into the light was because of poor design. There is a...

    Hayward ColorLogic 4.0 Light?

I just wanted to add this about the Hayward. I benched the light and found that water had seeped into the light and it was easily visible what had happened. It is a very poor design where the seal between the back plate and the glass is made. The SS plate is thin, the tab is too long and is...

New Intelliflo installed - SWG now won't turn off

Mine is on all the time and it looks as though Pentair designed it this way since everything I have is Pentair. The lights blink at night and I never thought about it, it's been this way for the last three years, seems to be just fine this way. I've had very good luck with the pump, so quiet.

    Hayward Colorlogic 4.0

I purchased a in-ground pool several years ago and spent quite a lot of money on a LED light, Hayward Colorlogic 4.0. It seemed like a good idea since it was LED, it would last longer, required less energy and my favorite was the changing colors. It worked well for the first two years but it...

    Hayward ColorLogic 4.0 Light?

I have this colorlogic 4.0 light and I have used it maybe 6 times over the last three years and it no longer works. After some research I guess there is not much to do except just replace it. The pool company installed the light but after reviews saying exactly the same thing that the light...

Installing Automation System Myself? VS pump?

I did my Pentair system with a VS pump and all the electric myself. It was fun but it's not for the faint of heart.

Pavers or tiles over existing concrete deck

Your pool looks like mine and the liner tucks in under the coping. Here in PA we have a company that is applying a product to concrete called Spadecrete. It looks like a product I saw used in Canada and seems to be a neat idea in changing the look of concrete without adding much thickness.

Bubbles in Basket with new Intelliflo

I have a bubble in mine at the top that never goes away and size wise it's about the circumference of a quarter and I never loose prime. I had thought more about this thread last year about a similar incident in a water well. Water pumped from a 800 feet deep well was clear but as soon as it...

    Advice for auto pool robot

I am considering some sort of auto cleaner because I sometimes have limited time in the morning and just want to swim instead of clean. For me to clean the bottom of the pool by hand takes about 10 minutes and then I swim for about 20. Unrolling the cover and then rolling it back up is probably...
