What comes first? Coving or sand?

When I did mine last year, did sand first then foam cove then a strip of duct-tape (gorilla tape) along the top of the foam cove securing it to the wall. Then liner and water, haven’t had any issues with the cove moving since install.

    New Above Ground Considerations

Also in Canada and went with a new AquaLeader pool this summer, installed it myself. The only steel part is the wall, everything else is resin. Can’t give you much long term review since we just installed this summer but so far I love it, no complaints. You mentioned heating, we have a NG 150K...

    DIY Install Done!

 Thanks Took longer than I wanted, didn’t realize how much ground prep and levelling I would have to do (considering I already had a 12x24 pool there) but glad I took my time with it.

    DIY Install Done!

Finally finished doing a complete tear down of our old agp, re-levelling and moving the patio slabs, then installed a new 12x24 aqualeader resin/steel hybrid. The 11 yr old pool was in need of a liner as well was off level by 3.5” on one end, once I saw the rust behind the liner we decided a...

Install Help - bottom rail to buttress

Ok, yeah there's a bit of play in the metal holder attached to the post, i'm also wondering if there's any play to move the side flanged piece back because it seems to be causing the problem. Also, have these slotted metal pieces and no mention of them in the instructions or instruction video...

    Rust behind liner question

Ok thanks for the info. With young kids we were hoping to get another 10-12 yrs out of this pool so replacement sounds like the better option. The news pools that say they are resin construction - are the walls of those pools resin also or are all agp’s either steel or aluminum walls? Thanks...

It’s above ground. Not sure of brand as the previous home owners had it installed 8-10 years ago. What would the wall material be aluminum?

Yeah starting to think that a new pool might be the answer. Not sure if a wall replacement is an option? Gonna inspect the wall all the way around.

    Rust behind liner question

Hi New to the forum, looking for some advice how how much (if any) rust is acceptable behind a liner. Have a 12x24, approx 9-10 years old, not sure of the brand. Was planning on changing the liner this spring (as well as re-level 4-5 posts) and decided to inspect behind the liner. Found quite a...
