Anyone had trouble with Salt Solutions replacement cells lately?

1st one lasted perhaps 5 or 6 months. 2d perhaps 4 or 5, a warrantee replacement. Gotta check the cell at Leslie's (not lots hope) and see if they will send a third. If not, I'm going for a Hayward.

Resetting Salt Measure on ProLogic 4.45

It is a rebuilt unit from salt solutions. They have a pretty good reputation. There are many trouble-free pool users who've had great success with them.

Resetting Salt Measure on ProLogic 4.45

It is about a year old. And yes it is the same cell I've been discussing here. Keep in mind that the cell doesn't operate when the water is cold so it's had perhaps 6 months of active operation.

Resetting Salt Measure on ProLogic 4.45

ajw22 - thanks for the information. It turns out that's exactly what I was doing. When I turn on the pump and the delay is satisfied, the SWG will start at between 3200 and 3600 ppm (correct range) @~25 volts and 7 amps then quickly drop in several steps to 2200 PPM @~25 volts and 5 amps...

Resetting Salt Measure on ProLogic 4.45

Thanks. I posted this and forgot. I'll report back tomorrow. ~~~~~ In the interim, the SWG keeps shutting down. I can restart it, but it shuts down again. My salt level is between 3300 (Leslie's) and 3600 (my Tailor kit.) Cell was cleaned three or four weeks ago.

I'm sure you can find a 24 volt transformer that will deliver the power you want. One can often find an exact replacement if you can read manufacturer's info on xformer.

    Kreepy Or Knot?

I am having great difficulty getting parts for my aquanaut-200, specifically the "Find 3, PVXS01SA-237-01 Upper Body, Blue Logo" I order and wait, and in a month they tell me they are out of stock. Is THAT customer service? Over and over again. Perhaps Hayward won't ever make the part again...

Not algae but what the what is this?

That was not the question, was it, sir? ~~~~~ I am trying to understand what problems 1/4 teaspoon of copper sulfate in the water fill well in an 18.5K gallon pool might cause. I find it hard to imagine that the pool will notice that amount of copper, especially as my pebble surface is...

Resetting Salt Measure on ProLogic 4.45

At least I think it is a 4.45. I had a fouled SWG. Cleaned it. Plugged it in. "SALT LEVEL LOW" or something like that message. My salt level is higher than 3200 ppm. Tried to reset salt level, but the instructions in the PDF noted below don't seem to work...

Not algae but what the what is this?

There was a very small Palo Verde I thought was just a weed about four feet from the fill valve pit. That HAD to be the culprit. I burned it down at the base with a repurposed ice melting 40K BTU torch, along with any other weed anywhere near the valve. I cannot imagine that 1/4 to 1/2...

Not algae but what the what is this?

It DOES look like ROOTS! I can't imagine what, though, unless it is some pesky weed I neglected to pull. There are no trees nor landscaping anyplace around. As I mentioned before, this is the desert! How to get rid? I haven't looked at the results of the chlorine, but I would want to put...

Not algae but what the what is this?

Went down to the pool and see minor water rising from my auto fill valve port in the deck. I open it up and it is filled with these stringy weeds. I grappled as many as I could with my hands and poured some chlorine into the port. What is this stuff and how can I get rid of / prevent it...

Hayward Aqua rite reading HIGH salt level

I've found the reported salt levels from these controllers to be useless. TRULY AND UDDERLY USELESS. JUST IGNORE THEM AS LONG AS THE SWG IS OPERATING. Even when the SWG is happy and operating, the salt levels the computer reports are just not reliable. For example, when the SWG is mineral...

I just got my SWG cleaned up. I go to install it and the threaded collar at the bottom is cracked, won't snug up. Since it is captive on the return pipe, how the what do you fix this? Does somebody make a collar that will separate and screw together? Or is this a major plumbing job? help!

    Kreepy or What Else?

I've an aquanaut 200 sweep that my pool guy says is worn out. It's five or six years old. I had a Kreepy for 25 years in my California pool, and it worked rather well. Each lasted around 12 years. I had to replace parts but it was pretty simple stuff. Should I be looking at anything else?

Just hired a pool guy who claims the missing handle (find 2, p/n PVXS0002-234-01) is affecting the ability of my cleaner to get around the pool. When this thing broke I didn't worry about it as it seems to be a fairly useless part. Thoughts? tanks mac
