How do I patch a crack in Intex 12864 cell housing?

I used this flex seal paste Amazon.com and it's been holding up for the last few months. I know it's not a permanent solution, but it will buy me some time before I need to bite the bullet and get a new housing.

    SWCG conversion Payback time

Don't forget to include the cost of muriatic acid. Since I've switched to my SWG, I traded in my task of pouring chlorine for pouring in muriatic acid. Although I'm not having to pour quite as much muriatic acid as I did chlorine, nor as often.

    Buildup on SWG

I have the same cell and found my chlorine levels were lower than they used to be. I checked the CYA and sure enough it was low. I added stabilizer, and sure enough the chlorine levels were back to where they should be.

    Polaris VRX iQ+

Mine is almost a year old and it still looks pretty good. I try not to leave it in the pool for multiple days and I hose it off after using it. When it's not in the pool, I sits in the caddy covered with the free cover I got with it on Polaris Days.

It's running great. I haven't bought chlorine in 8 months since it's been running. I do have to add acid every now and then, maybe once a month, maybe longer?? My routine used to be to check chemicals every day or every other day, but everything has been staying pretty constant, I only check...

    Polaris VRX iQ+

I believe they are meant for either scenario. They have a scheduling option built in, which only makes sense if you keep it in the pool. I personally only put it in when I'm cleaning the pool, but tend to leave it in for a couple days before the weekend prior to when we are actually going to...

    Polaris VRX iQ+

One thing I should probably say about it is that it does not clean my steps or the seat I have in the deep end. It gets to the top of each step/seat, but can't pull itself up to the flat part. Not a big deal, I just have to brush those myself before cleaning with the robot.

    Polaris VRX iQ+

I honestly don't remember the price I paid. If you buy it during Polaris Day, it's most likely the lowest you're gonna find it.

    Polaris VRX iQ+

Yep mine is still going strong. One of the best purchases I've made for my pool. Polaris days is your best bet, that's how I got mine.

How Clear is TFP Clear? Let's See (Pics Only Please).

Had our first swim of the season! Gotta love the solar heater and solar pool cover. Got the water up to 86 degrees last week. I love how clear this pool always is. Had family over and they were amazed how clear it was. The best part is I haven't poured any chemicals in my pool in months...

    How screwed am I?

I've had my share of water leaks in the house and if I was you, I would definitely check with your home owners insurance to see if its covered. If it is, you will likely get a new kitchen for the price of your deductible. If the insurance does cover it but their adjuster tries to low-ball you...

    SWG in Socal Winter

Thanks! I've dropped my testing to about once a week in winter. Nothing has really been changing, CH and pH have been pretty constant. I'll ramp it back up when the temp increases though.

    SWG in Socal Winter

Since it's been pretty cool here in Socal for the winter, I've noticed the chlorine levels in my pool from my SWG being really high. I resorted to having the pump run less and the SWG on the lowest setting, but it's still super high. I ended up just shutting off the SWG and the chlorine level...

Looks great! Jealous of all of your space. I was surprised to not see a jacuzzi with all of the room you have.

How often do you brush your pool?

Before my robot, I'd do it about once a week with my weekly thorough pool cleaning (dump the skimmer and pump skimmer basket, skim the surface, brush the tile, brush the pool, and vacuum). Now I just toss the robot in for a couple days and and do a full cleaning a few times. I still have to...

    Solar pool heater in Socal

Thanks for your very detailed reply. I do miss the days when overnight temp drops didn't matter. I was able to get 5+ degree increases within hours pretty much all of spring and summer. I guess I'll just keep my cover on during the week and hope I can get some heat accumulation for the weekend.

    Solar pool heater in Socal

I purchased my solar heater in the Spring and it worked great to keep my pool in the high 80s. Now that it's Fall, is staying right around 80. We've had some hot days here in the 90s but it doesn't seem to have any effect of the solar heater. I can see the panels are reading 115 degrees on...

This new replacement controller is working way better than the original I had. Maybe it was just a lemon from the get go. My FC is 5+, I'm having the check and lower the percentage every day. I love this thing. Crystal clear water without having to add a drop of chlorine myself.

    Steel Brush?

Yes, I read the steel brushes aren't good because the bristles come off and can leave rust marks in your pool.

Never got a response from C-M-P.com, so I called and they said the part is backordered. Communication is terrible with this company. They don't respond to emails, so I have to always call them. I do not recommend, spend the extra money and get a reputable brand.

Update: I never heard back so I had to call. They told me to send them video and pics of the unit not turning on and they'd sent me out a replacement. This was on a Friday. I never got a response to the email, so I called again and they said they got it but nothing was ever done, so he...

    Hi from SoCal

How long are you running your pump each day?
  27. beegee226

    Hi from SoCal

Head down to Harbor Freight and pick up a submersible pump. For me it's easier than messing with the filter and skimmer and worrying about the pump running dry. If you can wait, you can get this one from Amazon for a little cheaper...

CMP PowerClean Salt Ecom 540 SWG

I have my pump running at 2750 for 2 hours in the morning, then it drops down to 1800 for 10 more hours. 1800 seems to be the least I can have it at and still be able to push the water up to my solar heater on the roof. I might be running it longer than I need to, but I just like hearing the...
