    Using 180 sweep fitting instead of two 90's?

    I'm going to be assembling a loop for a vertical SWCG install and I'm wondering if there's any reason I can't use a 180 sweep/bend fitting at the top of the loop instead of two 90's? Seem like less friction loss and fewer parts. But maybe there's a reason you don't see them much on pool...

    Easy Touch 8 and Circupool RJ60 SWG

    I have a Circupool RJ60 SWG arriving tomorrow and I'm wondering if I can use one of the aux relays in the Easy Touch 8 panel to activate the SWG when the pump (VS) comes on. My guess is no, but I thought I'd ask. Or maybe there's a better way to wire it in the ET8. Thanks.

    Wet niche grounding question

    During construction we're having done at our house, the conduit that connects the wet niche (pool light) to the junction box was damaged, requiring us to cut the green #8 ground wire and the lamp cable. The breaker for the lights has been turned off. Obviously I will be repairing the conduit...

    What is this white stuff?

    See the attached photos -- what is this white stuff? This is only happening near the spa spill-over, and no where else around the pool -- it's an eyesore on an otherwise perfectly looking pool (thanks to this site). Here are my numbers: FC 4 pH 7.5 TA 50 CH 250 CYA 40

    Newbie in TX
