Looking for Inspiration - Waterfall Separate from Pool

Hi all, We are considering an inground pool installation - possibly this fall. We're leaning towards a freeform in the back corner of our property. We also love waterfalls and have discussed installing a waterfall in the backyard. We're wondering whether we can possibly combine these ideas -...

Intex SWG code 91, sleep mode, titanium electrode replacement

Same issue here! I actually purchased the SWG from amazon already but am unsure how to disconnect the SWG portion of the original combo unit. If you are still watching this thread, could you link the YouTube video you found to do this? Thank you! I was also considering just connecting up the new...

    Question Re Solar Automation Sensors

Hi all, I'm attempting to automate my solar panels for our above ground Intex. I purchased the Hayward GVA-24 system and have an electrician wiring the actual control panel for me. The kit came with two sensors (one for panel area and one for water), but only have about 6" of wiring attached to...

    Pump/filter upgrade on intex pool

If this is still active - can you include what filter came with your pool? We have the Intex 16x32 and have no issues with maintenance using the TFP method with the sand filter/SWG that was included with the purchase. We are on year #2 with it.

Help! Identifying Intex 16x32 Horizontal Beams

Update: On the Intex website, they include the beam weight under specifications (no dimensions, annoyingly) - I see the C beam weighs a couple ounces more than the F beam. If I'm not able to find anything else, I guess I will assume the longer beam is the heavier beam. But I would still greatly...

Help! Identifying Intex 16x32 Horizontal Beams

Hoping for some quick help! Working on setting up our Intex 16x32 Ultra XTR pool today - this is our second year with this pool. There are 4 horizontal beams that no longer have their identifying sticker and I can't ID them based on appearance. The 4 beams in question must be two "C horizontal...

    Ahh-some Question?

Thanks for your response. I’m not too worried about it - was mostly curious. Given I have zero combined chlorine and crystal clear water, I doubt I have an algae problem? I’ll prob just dump and purge again in about a month as planned and see whether it happens to go away. Also not anxious to...

    Ahh-some Question?

Random question: I used ahhsome in my hot tub for the first time about 3 months ago. No issues with maintenance since then (chemicals stay balanced) and I think I followed instructions. I opened up my hot tub the other day for an unrelated reason and noticed that my previously clear water tubing...

Light for Above Ground Intex Pool

Hi! Looking for recommendations for a light (color-changing, if possible) for my Intex pool. We've had the Intex magnetic light the past 2 years and were really happy with it. Can't complain that it decided to die this year, considering it was only $20. However, thanks to covid I assume, the...

    Intex 32x16x4 pool

In case anyone reads this down the road - we set our pool legs on 2x6 boards on top of our sport court, which made the legs about 1.5" higher than the pool itself. Haven't done any swimming yet because water is ice cold, but doesn't seem to have caused any issues on set up.

    Intex 32x16x4 pool

Just curious - anyone know what would happen if the pavers ended up an inch or so higher than the rest of your base? I may be in this situation as we are putting our pool up on our sport court but were going to use boards to give some extra support to the legs (to spread the pressure out a...

Considering FAFCO Solar Bear Panels and would love some advice

I am planning a very similar set up for this coming summer (same pool and looking at the same solar panels) and was wondering if I could ask you some questions regarding your set up? I'm curious how you connected your two panels (did you find a connection kit to purchase or use something else)...

Semi-Inground Oval with Deep End and SWG??

We actually decided to go with another (larger) intex pool for this summer. We decided we just couldn't "commit" to the semi-inground OR fully inground options, lol. Also decided to get a hot tub to go along with the intex. So that's my current learning project lol. Good luck with your pool and...

New Hot Tub: Filtration Cycle Settings

Hi all, We just got our hot tub set up a couple days ago and I think I'm in pretty good shape in terms of water balance thanks to this amazing forum! My question is this: the hot tub has default settings to cycle twice per day (8am and 8pm, I believe) for 2 hours each. Just wanted to find out...

Hot Tub Set Up Help Please!

Sorry, I just remembered we are actually going to be away (as luck would have it) for a couple of days next week. Is the RV antifreeze option good advice or no?

Hot Tub Set Up Help Please!

So our hot tub was just delivered today (yeah!) and we are awaiting electrical hook up. We live on Long Island and are looking at freezing temps the coming days/weeks. I was surprised when the delivery guys said we needed to get set up right away or add antifreeze to the pipes to avoid risk of...

    New Spa Ozone Question

Thank you for your response. Asking sincerely - Can you tell me why that's a good thing? Doesn't that mean I'll have to keep adding more and more chlorine to keep FC at an appropriate level?

    New Spa Ozone Question

Hi all, We've used the TFP method for our seasonal intex pool with great success the past 3 years. We are tossing our hat into the hot tub community now as well - our spa is arriving in 3 days. We ordered a 450 gallon OC hot tub from Costco. It was pretty much the only thing we could find with...

    Rectangular Intex on Sport Court?

One other thought on the concrete - because I had been pushing more for that previously - I think concrete needs to be graded for drainage to some extent and we all know any degree of grade and intex pools don't mix, lol.

    Rectangular Intex on Sport Court?

Thanks for your response. This would be on dirt or some sort of "paver base" base. We got a total quote and I think it's out of the consideration book anyway.

    Rectangular Intex on Sport Court?

The short answer is my husband doesn't want a large permanent concrete pad in the backyard, lol.

    Rectangular Intex on Sport Court?

Perhaps we could run a wide (something like 2"x12"x16') pressure treated board along the sides of the pool for the legs themselves to sit on to provide some extra support/protection?

    Rectangular Intex on Sport Court?

We've been looking at a brand called Ultra Base Systems because they claim they can be installed directly on ground (with appropriate drainage and prep, of course). All other systems we have looked at require a cement (or similar) base. Panels seem to range from $21-$25 per panel and are 28" x...

    Rectangular Intex on Sport Court?

Lol, doesn't sound fun at all when you put it that way. Going to keep thinking on this one....lol.

    Rectangular Intex on Sport Court?

The manufacturer of a court system we are looking at says the tiles are rated to be load bearing up to 43,000lbs per square foot. Does that give any insight into the leg support situation? Thanks!
