Thanks, I was brushing 2-3 times a day vacuumed a couple times, with the filter running 24/ 7. I had no pressure change so no backwashing. Thanks for the feedback, I'm better informed for the next time which I hope doesn't come. Now just have to wait for fc to come down.

I did the oclt and the all criteria of slam looks complete. What I have been wondering about was why I never saw any dead algea. Is that how the process works, that it's slow enough that the filter gets it all?
