It does prime and preassure is only slightly down. It just doesn't sound good.

I just discovered that my impeller ring is broken in my Hayward Tristar pump. It looks like it could be fairly simple to replace it myself. Does anyone have any experience doing repairs on their pump? Also, what is the risk if I run my pump with a broken impeller ring?
