If motor is new it probably does not need replacing. If a company installed the replacement motor recently, contact them and tell them the situation. May just need a new rubber seal or silicone type sealant where motor is bolted to basket section. Also, check the seal on your strainer basket...

Get at least one more quote, but it seems about right to me too. A good friend of mine paid a little less a couple of year ago for a smaller pool. He said the installers spent a long time getting the tracks/rails perfectly parallel so the mechanism would function properly.
