    Dolphin Universal Caddy Model Numbers

Maddie - Margaret from Marina Pool responded to my email saying they had the caddy in stock, but when I asked about the model number, she didn't reply. I assume they must be very busy. Also, the shipping costs as much as 1/3 of the price due to the package size. I think I'll check with local...

    Dolphin Universal Caddy Model Numbers

My Doheny's Discovery died a few weeks ago and I got a new Doheny's Advantage. The only thing I overlooked is that the cord is only 50-ft long, about 10-ft shorter than the Discovery's. I am thinking about getting a caddy for it since I can't mount the power supply box where it used to be. My...

Pool Math (iOS) sometimes seems having trouble getting the subscription information

This has happened to me a couple of times when I was about to enter a new log. This screen first came up I thought probably my subscription was expired, so I hit the Subscribe button. Then either this came up or this screen came up If I close the App and retry, the problem doesn't...

Shall I stay away from Maytronics altogether?

In my 3+ years with the Discovery, it happened only once that the cord got trapped in between the wheel and the front brush. I don't think this thing could prevent that.

Shall I stay away from Maytronics altogether?

So I got a Doheny's Advantage this time. Can someone please tell what that blue egg shape thing is for? My old Discovery does not have that. Thanks.

Hey, guys, thanks for convincing me to stay with the Maytronics. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

Shall I stay away from Maytronics altogether?

My Doheny's Discovery stopped working after three years due to water leak in the motor compartment. I dried out everything, applied conformal coating on all PCBs, lubed all the o-rings and put everything back. It worked for another 3 months and now the same problem happened again. I think I am...

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

I dried out all the motor connections and was able to get the motor running. I think I am going to conformal coat the PCB and all the connections. It is interesting there is a MIL-D-3464 DESI PAK inside the unit. Looks like an afterthought to me.

I took my Discovery apart and noticed the motor compartment was all wet. Can someone please tell me what I should replace or should I just get a new robot?

    Doheny's Discovery, S200, Active20, Triton owners club

Hey, guys, my 4 year old Doheny's Discovery is having the exact same problem as described by Swimbo in his post #1881 - It turns on, moves a few feet then stops. What are my options here? Thanks

    Seeking dog fence recommendation

My 13-year old 20-lb pug is becoming completely blind. He has wandered into the pool a couple of times. He can float but I don't think he knows how to get out of the pool on his own. I am looking for a small fence like barricade, a non-permanent install on the concrete/stone desk, to block off...

    Check if Google Photo works...

I think the "share link" from Google Photo is not a true URL that points to where the actual file is located. If I create a share link, the URL is different each time. I thought the license plate was funny for someone drove a KIA (Kill-In-Action) :)

Need to learn more about stone coping renovation

The pool came with the house. I don't know much about the history of stone coping around the pool. Some of the stones are deteriorating and edges are becoming sharp. If I want to renovate the coping, what are my options? Can I pour a layer of concrete over existing stones and round the...

    Pool vac / manual cleaner

We have tiered systems for both water and electricity in our area. Both can get expensive if going over the base tier limit. To reduce my electric bill, I run my pool pump at low speed most of the time. This produces enough suction for the skimmer but not enough to run a suction side vacuum. So...

Running Doheny's Discovery under solar blank - tracks falling off

I have my solar blanket on to reduce evaporation and warm up the water. I am still running the Discovery underneath the blanket. However, the tracks on the Discovery have fallen off twice. Since there is no bottom-sweep-only mode for the Discovery, I am wondering if that's a good idea to use it...

    Weir door broke off

It is interesting to learn that without the weir door, the pump, even running at full speed, doesn't seem to generate much of the surface velocity to suck debris in. There must be some kind of science behind that :)

    Weir door broke off

Hey, guys, thanks for all the replies. In my case, the old hinge was mounted vertically using just one screw at the center. I couldn't see the whole thing last night. It looks like the assembly has two parts 8650-4 for the flap and 8650-8 for the hinge. If I am not mistaken, the whole assembly...

    Weir door broke off

I think it is made by Pentair. There is a pattern number PAT. 2701235 printed on one side and another number 8650-4 on the back. The door measures about 8 1/4" x 5". Where can I order a replacement? Any tips on replacing it? Thanks.

Pool Blaster Max Li Cleaner - How do you take it out of water?

No, mine doesn't have a check valve. I can't see how it is even possible to have a check valve. This is what I got: Amazon.com : Water Tech Pool Blaster Max Li Pool & Spa Cleaner : Swimming Pool Handheld Vacuums : Gateway

Pool Blaster Max Li Cleaner - How do you take it out of water?

Bought a Water Tech Pool Blaster Max Li Pool & Spa Cleaner for picking up debris at the bottom of the pool. It works great. However, I am not sure what's the best way to take it out of water without letting all the debris falling back into the pool.

I shrouded a vacuum hose over the portion of the cord that stays on the surface. I didn't want to increase too much of the drag for the robot.

How Big of a Deal is an Air Leak?

keatz85 - According to this link How to Identify and Correct Air Leaks provided in your 1st post, it sounds like there is "a leak in the motor shaft seal" as shown in Step #7. Wouldn't you agree?
