Your question tells me you probably don't have the TF-100 Test Kit available here: http://tftestkits.net/TF-100-Test-Kit-p4.html Best investment for the pool I've ever made, and highly recommended by most everyone here.

A PH of 7.2 is good, and some say 7.1 is OK too. I have metal issues as well, so I try to never let my PH get above 7.2.
