The older CVA-24 Pentair actuators use four 1 1/2 inch screws. Intellivalve uses four 2 1/4 inch screws. Anyone know of where four longer intellivalve screws might be available? EDIT: (I'm having trouble figuring out specs for McMaster-Carr.) Thanks, Jeff

I talked with Pentair a couple weeks ago, and the guy said 2.026 would be available OTA on Jan 31. Checked my Intellicenter today, (Jan 23) and it still says I have the latest, 1.064.

The wire connects to a temperature sensor that the PB installed up near the solar panels a few months ago. But the wire has been there for several years, I can tell because the house was painted 5 years ago, and the wire was painted to match the house color.

The PB did run a wire from the intellicenter over and up about 5 feet to the existing wire. How do I know the existing wire? It was painted the color of the house about 3 years ago. I'm just wondering why there was an existing wire. It had been there for years, with no known solar controls.

Would the the 25 year old solar panels have a wire and a temperature sensor, even though there was no automation of them that I know of. At least no automation was there for solar when I arrived 7 years ago.

I don't have a 10K ohm resistor. (If there was a Radio Shack any more I would try that, but don't know where to get one.) But I too think it may be an intermintent solar temp sensor. Or if temp sensor is good, maybe the Intellicenter board is intermittent. Early today with airtemp less then 50...

Not sure I totally usnderstand what you are asking, but the solar sensor is up on the solar panel, at the top I think. I remember the PB placing it up there when Intellicenter was installed a few months ago. May know more later today after pool builder stops by today.

Update: I talked with Pentair. They could not see anything wrong with my Intellicenter. About 5% of the time it started to operate the Solar valve in Spa mode, but mostly did not work. And most of the time it operated the Solar valve in Pool mode. I lost phone connection, and not sure what is...

I aslo tried this on the intellicenter contols themselves. Solar valve works for Pool, does not work for Spa. However, shows up as (ERR) in both cases, SOLAR ONLY (ERR).

Yes Solar Heater is set up the same as Gas Heater. Both are set to Pool/Spa

I tried it on Intellicenter2.com. Same bad results, no solar heating when in Spa Mode. (There is a Solar Only and Solar Preferreed on both pulldown menus, both for Pool and for Spa.)

I wanted to preheat my Spa, using solar. Turned to Spa Mode, pump working fine, both valves move to Spa. Try Solar Heat, and Solar valve won't move to flow wate to solar panels. (It works in in Pool mode, Try Solar Heat, and valve moves just fine.) Suggstions, as to why Solar Valve won't move...

Good point. The solar goes down in the ground on the left when the solar valve is 180 degrees different. (As shown the valve is bypassing solar.). But when set to solar, flow is to the left, down in the ground, over to the letf pipe on the house, throught solar panels, back down other pipe on...

What about the black blob? Is it an efficient check valve. If needed, what about moving Valve 2, and replace Valve 3 with Valve 2? Thanks
