Hayward Max-Flo VS Pump- Display Problem

Make that a 3rd owner. Unfortunately, I won't be any help. I also looked at prices for a panel replacement and I finally just to get a new pump, which was installed yesterday. For anyone else with this problem, I wanted to note that eventually the power button became so flaky that the pump...

What is this and how do I get it off?

No they don't feel raised. I also took a pumice stone to it and nothing seemed to come off.

What is this and how do I get it off?

It's hard to tell, but it really does look like a surface stain. The spots are also not in any regular pattern, which I would expect if it was rebar.

What is this and how do I get it off?

Now I didn't expect that answer. Is that something that naturally happens for my type of pool? Is it a result of poor construction? I'll go take a closer look when it stops raining, and see if I can tell if it is on the surface or seems to be throughout the concrete.

What is this and how do I get it off?

What are these spots? They are not really recent. They've been appearing for the last year I think. They are dull enough that they didn't bother me until I figured out I couldn't remove them. The pumice stone doesn't take them off. Neither does the stainless steel brush. It's not black...

White Cloudy Water - Filter or Chemistry?

Just a follow up for anyone interested: I finished the half drain and the CYA is down to ~70. I will check CYA again at the end of the summer. It's Florida; I'll have to drain my pool several times. My water has cleared up quite a bit. I really believe its from the new filter, though. I'm no...

    Winter and the TF-100

I got a high TA reading when I first tested with my TF-100. Went to my old test...about one year old...and did a side by side. Old chemicals were faded and readings were half as high.

White Cloudy Water - Filter or Chemistry?

The 120 reading I got was a test from diluted water. Thanks for the info though...I didn't know that it wasn't valid after 100.

White Cloudy Water - Filter or Chemistry?

In the process of refilling my pool after almost a 1/2 drain. Got my new test kit and CYA was ~120. Hopefully I'm down to 60 after the refill. I added a new filter cartridge as well which dropped my pressure from ~20 down to 13. I was surprised at that because I've never seen the pressure any...

White Cloudy Water - Filter or Chemistry?

Quick update...I found that I am getting some debris return from my filter, so it looks like those cracks in my cartridge are causing a problem. I also ordered a proper test kit so I will be checking and fixing the CYA next weekend. Back to a question I asked earlier though, how much chlorine...

White Cloudy Water - Filter or Chemistry?

Thanks for the reply. I'm definitely getting the test kit and I just read up on the process to SLAM the pool. You're recommending I drain my pool because you think there is too much CYA in it? I was not too keen on draining my pool at first because we have a well, but if its the only way to...

White Cloudy Water - Filter or Chemistry?

I'm new to TFP forums but I've been reading them a while. I'll start out by saying that I haven't started doing everything thats recommended here yet, but I'm working on it. I don't yet have the recommended test kits, etc., but I'll get there. I've been fighting a cloudy white water for about 3...
