Having trouble with FC drop during the day. It drops anywhere from 5-7. I passed SLAM on 5/17. I have retested OCLT on 5/19 and 5/23 and passed both of those. Only 0.5 drop overnight with 0.5 CC. pH may be a little high at 7.8, will take care of that today. Added stabilizer 5/18. CYA 40 at last...

I did that last night and it went from 12.5 last night to 12 this morning and CC was 0.5. Water clear. Passed slam. Do I still need to raise back up to 12 again tonight?

Passed the OCLT this morning. Will recheck all chemistry this afternoon to see if CYA improved and see how much chlorine drops. Hopefully chlorine will hold better with bump in CYA.

Today added Stabilizer. Will recheck CYA tomorrow. Added liquid chlorine and now FC is 12.5 tonight. Will do overnight (OCLT) and recheck FC and CC in AM. Hopefully the numbers from yesterday and this AM have corrected and I will be finished with slam. Pool is very clear. Thanks for your help.

This morning FC 3 and CC was 1. CYA still at 20. I am going to add stabilizer and looks like I need to slam again. Am I right. Pool still very clear.

See above post. I didn't put in chlorine since level was 5 and in range with CYA of 20, but I would like to get CYA increased a little. What do you think?

It's not gummy. It is a stain build up, but not like the stains in the past when we used ascorbic acid. So far so good on that. No all over staining, just at water level

What can be used to clean brownish build up at water level edge? Want to use something that won't affect chemistry.
