    Updated pictures:Building an "ocean".........aka 18'

😂 maybe that’s why the hubby thinks it’s hilarious to stand on the opposite side and make it look like he is doing just that!! Thanks! It is still a work in progress-putting in a pool definitely takes a toll on the yard. It’s hard to spend the time putting the yard back together when we would...

    Updated pictures:Building an "ocean".........aka 18'

Thought I would share some updated pics...... We still aren’t quite done-this has become the never ending project(yes those are deck jets)!😂 But we have LOVED having the pool and haven’t come close to spending the $$ that an inground would have cost here in Denver-most importantly is the grand...

24’ Carvin Gold series pool install

Welcome to the forum!! We also started with a soft side pool to see how much we would use it, loved it and installed the upgrade last summer. Took us until the end of July because it rained every weekend mid-May thru June! Your pool looks great and I’m sure your family is loving it!!!😊

Possible New Semi-Inground Pool, Northern New Jersey

Hey Marty-welcome to the forum! We installed our pool last year and have spent the last few months (on weekends thank you Covid-19) working on the deck. We love the in wall steps-they were definitely worth the money! Here are a couple of pictures-and while I’m in no way as knowledgeable as...

    New pool placement

O.M.G Casey!!! When all of this is over, you are all moved in, dogs are running in their new yard, pool up and granddaughter is swimming you’re gonna have to write a book called “Buying a house: The COMPLETE List of Things That Can Go Wrong” 🤯 I’m in awe of your patience🥰

So glad to hear that you passed inspection-I know it must be a huge relief!! But I'm curious-why isn't the seller doing the work to bring the house to code?

    Jacuzzi brand compass vacuum cleaner

Thanks for the offer to help!! Ours starts out like everything is okay, hits a point like it wants to stop and go in a different direction and then just sits there. Maybe it’s the flow rate?

I’m interested too-we received this Compass cleaner(free with purchase of pool heater) and haven’t been able to get it to work correctly.

    New Pool Install

O.M.G Casey!! I don't know how I missed that your pool was destroyed! I just went back and read your whole thread-heartbreaking! From one grandma who works her Rear off so her sweet grand-daughter can have her "ocean" to another-you are effing AMAZING!!! The hubster and I have been true...

    One more TA question..........

Richard-actually I'm not sure I have made a decision. I'm truly just trying to figure this all out and would definitely agree that not voiding my warranty is much more important than micromanaging numbers. I believe that the folks here on TFP are the most knowledgeable around-which is why I...

    One more TA question..........

Marty-I totally agree with using TFP Ideal Pool Levels. It is the reason for my original question-the TA level acceptable maximum suggested by the link you just provided is 80-90. So when my readings are consistently 120, my thought is that I need to make an adjustment. I appreciate your...

    One more TA question..........

Thanks! Okay-so honestly I have been a bit confused about that. I read the manual and saw those numbers, but when I enter my test results into the pool math app, I am getting the red! saying I am outside of the recommended range. Do I have something set incorrectly? I only used dry acid...

    One more TA question..........

So I must admit I have never tested the CH because I didn't think it was relevant. But I just went out grabbed a sample and it was 175 ppm. Is that okay-or low? So is the issue using dry acid instead of MA? I thought high TA caused the same issues you are describing caused by sulfates...

    One more TA question..........

I have read thru pool school articles as well as several questions on the forum on lowering the TA in your pool. Our pool is crystal clear, and with the addition of the heater this year we are truly loving it! I have been using the suggested method of adding acid to lower the pH (as well as...

Building an "ocean".........aka 18' Round Doughboy Saratoga w/In-Wall Entry Steps

We purchased ours through the Doughboy dealer, and so our pool wall was cut to fit from the manufacturer. The steps fit between two posts, so I think it would depend on the amount of space between your post. I asked the hubby (he is also a contractor :)) and he said thought it could work, but...

    Out of R-0013 for CYA

Thanks Marty! I was thinking along those same lines, but was unsure of what to aim for. Honestly, the water isn't too bad-more dirty looking than green as our cover didn't really do its job and we have a nice layer of sand/dirt on the bottom. The hubby is vacuuming as I type. I ordered...

I do not remember for sure, but guessing it was red. Was also thinking that not many use mercury anymore.
