    Instapark Betta review

Ordered yesterday and got today from Leslie’s. Of course I live in Dallas and it ships from here. I didn’t know this, but buying from Leslie’s gives you a 2 year warranty instead of the standard 1 year. Put it in the pool and it is doing a great job so far

    Riptide XP Pool Vacuum: !!WOW!!

I have the riptide also and love it. I have a terrible yard for a pool with a big tree that hangs right over the pool. There are also 3 other large trees in the front and side that lose a lot of leaves that fall on the roof of the house and end up in the backyard and pool I finally came to...

    Pool equipment overhaul cost.

I had old Jandy valves that look like the same ones you have. I bought new valves, but just took the face plate and handle off the new valve and replaced the same on the existing valve. It is about a 10 min job per valve. I also see now that they sell aftermarket rebuild kits for the...

    Over current alarm

Do you think it is DE? I don’t know why there would be so much DE in the pump basket. I haven’t backwashed in a while

    Over current alarm

My pentair innteliflow stopped and is giving an over current alarm. I checked the basket and it had a good bit of very fine silt. It’s mud colored, but I am guessing it might be DE. There were some leaves in the basket, but it wasn’t full. I reached in towards the impeller, and...

Official 2025 BBQ, Smoking, Grilling, Baking and Beer thread

Ok I will start it off with my Over The Top Chili. You’ve probably seen this on the internet. You cook the chili in a Dutch oven on a smoker with a 2lb loaf above the chili. As the meat cooks, it drips into the chili. Once the meat is at temp (about 2 hours) you break it up and mix it...

Polaris 280 - $270 to tune up. Does this price make sense?

I’ve rebuilt my Polaris and it isn’t real difficult. I used 3rd party parts and they worked fine. I would watch some videos and see what you can figure out before spending that much

Equipment pad plumbing configuration for addition of spa to pool

Yes, as he says the spa is not like a standalone hot tub, but we do still use ours. It’s nice when it is cold or cool to be able to heat the spa. On cool days you can go from the pool to the spa to warm up. I wouldn’t get the heater with the idea of heating the pool. It’s hard to heat...

Skimmer Appears to be Clogged. Blow Bag to Remove Clog….

Rather then inserting in the pump basket, take the front off the valve going to the skimmer and push the hose in towards the skimmer and then turn on the water

Skimmer Appears to be Clogged. Blow Bag to Remove Clog….

I will say that those work well. I have a lot of leaves and the skimmer lines get clogged about once a year. In my case I take the front off the valve, put the drain jet on the hose and stick it down the pvc. Turn the hose on and it tends to clean it right out

    Water fill

I have a hose bib that sticks out of the ground about 8 feet from the pool. There is a pvc pipe next to it, and I am pretty sure that it is designed to be connected to a water source and connected to a outlet in the tile. Today I don’t use the pipe, and instead lay the hose across the deck...

    Replace old pump with IntelliFlo3

I just installed the relay board on my IF3 yesterday. Easy install, and as noted above it is almost like having automation I can adjust the main pump, and turn the booster pump on and off from anywhere using the app.

    Intelliflo Relay Board

Thanks for asking. That was my next question too

    Intelliflo Relay Board

I’m not sure I understand how the wiring works. For example, the swg is wired as 240. It would be wired to the left side relay. Which screws would I use for the wiring for the swg? Where does the ground for the swg go? To the pump ground screw?

    Intelliflo Relay Board

I have a intellifloVSF 3hp pump, installed earlier this year. It’s model 011075, no touchscreen and no relay board. I’ve been reading about the relay board. I don’t have automation today, but have a new SWG (Circupool RJ45) and a Polaris booster pump. If I had the relay board, could...
